A charming place

I spent 38 nights here. That should tell you everything you need to know. It's a good and affordable place to stay. It does not appear all too modern, but it's kind of charming.
It's not too clean, but it's alright. The upstairs bathroom is.. interesting. It is cleaned every day, though many, many guests do not bother to keep it so.
There's a washing machine that guests can use, which is great. The kitchen looks good, though I didn't use it.
If you're lucky, you get quiet neighbours, since you can hear rather a lot of what's going on in the house.
Before I forget, staff is friendly and helpful!

Very unwelcoming

The facilities are alright and reasonably clean, but the living room was locked at 9pm, the kitchen at 10pm, with no common area left to hang out.
There were only two people in my dorm and they decided to have both of us on the same noisy bunk bed for some reason.
Generally unwelcoming impression topped up by the "you can do it!" poster for the 10am checkout time. You get what you paid for, you pennyless dirty backpacker.

Really helpful reception and homely feel

Cute hostel with character. Really helpful guy in check in and he explained a bit about the city. Comfy beds and good kitchen/facilities. Has a pool table and nice dining room to sit and eat.
We parked just outside the hostel on the road and it was really easy to walk down the hill to the Main Street.

Some pro and some contra.

Pros : The area is quiet, very close from the town center. Historic house with a... spooky charm. Excellent wifi connection. Contra: the house is historic so you can feel she is old with bad insonorisation. I had a very competitive price for a private room and I was looking forward of my good night of sleep alone. Well, I didn't sleep well. I didnt expect any luxury for the price but just a quiet night of sleep. Basically, you can hear everything from the hall (loud toilet flush with constant water running in the pipes, doors shutting, people talking quite loud at 11pm or 3am or 7am or 8am). Choose the dorm if you have too...

Like home

Hostel where you feel like at home, super kitch but all what’s necessary is there. Well organised, quite clean, nice vibe. A bit far from the city center when you have to walk the steep street to reach the hostel with your luggage but I definitely recommend it.
