Worth every penny and more

This is a very old house so please expect it
My friend and o stayed just the one night but we wish we had had more time
The host stayed up for us getting there on the late ferry
We were greeted and shown to our room
There are a lot of stairs obviously as it’s a 4/5 story building
The room we had was a single bed and a double
There were tea and coffee and plenty of draws and plug sockets
The room was a bit dated but I must say it was very clean and comfortable
And for the price it was better than you would expect or get anywhere else
Breakfast was cooked to order and very good indeed
But above all the hosts couldn’t have done any more to help us
Even keeping our luggage till late afternoon then bringing it down to the port for us
To save us getting a taxi to and from the B+B!!!! And he wouldn’t take any money fir his trouble
I would definitely recommend the Adelphi in Douglas
And many thanks to our hosts

Spot on for the money.

A few of us came here and had three rooms for several nights. It was spot on for the price. The owner stayed up to check me in - the ferry was slightly delayed but they were very flexible. Thank you. Room clean and fine. Breakfast good - and included in the price. Cannot fault it. Just don’t expect The Ritz, but you’re paying a fair price.

Weird

One of the oddest rooms ever dado missing, screws hanging out of wall, holes in the wall, 2 cups in a triple room , tv had no ariel, bedhead sticking to wall, no glasses, it wasn't dirty as such just weird

Weekend away.

Weekend away groundhopping this was my place to rest . Isle of Man is a small island as we all know so this was perfect for me.
Local bus station 10 mins walk and takes u where u need to go.
The owners Eric and ruby are lovel the rooms are clean and breakfast bits alright .
As the time of stay they was having works done on the property but it was to make the place better would of got a five for me but for this it’s only a 4. Maybe next time 5/5. That hill tho

Great value for money, great hosts

Fantastic value for money here. It's not a modern hotel, but it is clean and the hosts are very welcoming. As with most old guest houses in Douglas, lots of stairs, and the décor is somewhat dated - but who really cares? Rooms are small but perfectly acceptable for the price. Shower worked great and a good full English breakfast set me up for the day. Short walk down to the town and promenade.
