Beyond expectation
Came for 2 nights and ended up staying for 5. Amazing rooms, amazing food, and exceptional location with a clear view of the nights sky, you can see the entire galaxy. Furthemore very friedly staff and helpers.

Joke place.
Only 1 bedside light not even a plug in the wall for the other. broken soap dish, broken toilet seat, no warm water. half a toilet roll and no supply.
Washbasin not attached to wall or floor- one gentle knock and would be smashed, could injure / kill a small child. Whilst chatting to the smoking receptionist about her dog I mentioned this. She answered “it is fixed to the wall”, so I just said “no it isn’t” and left it. I couldn't be bothered to tell her the rest as only one night….
Aircon not working, only 2 towels, extractor fan not working, phone worked only if fiddled with the lead into wall, food to order an hour before (not a problem) but various things not available, (black tea means v weak nescafe btw) Problems with payment through Booking.com which they said they didn't use!, dirty cups for tea, if we'd stayed more than a night no doubt more would have appeared, hole in front door. towel rail hanging off, great views but they seem confused and disorganized. All these problems could be easily fixed but saw at least 4 staff just sitting around looking at their phones. Bit of a joke place tbh. If my wife hadn’t been upper class Pakistani, no doubt many other problems would have reared their heads.

THIS RESORT IS A TRAP — RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN. SCAMMERS, EXTORTIONISTS, AND LIARS.
Oasis Resort in Skardu, Pakistan is not a vacation destination — it’s a well-orchestrated con, designed to fleece you when you’re most vulnerable. What happened to us was theft with a smile, and the worst part is — they know exactly what they’re doing.
At checkout, we were handed an itemized bill — but don’t let that fool you. It was full of completely bogus, made-up charges totaling an extra 16,000 rupees. When we demanded clarification, we got vague nonsense: mysterious “service fees,” invented “transport costs,” and charges for things we never used, requested, or even heard of. The owner — who clearly masterminds this scam — simply told us “You have to pay. That’s the bill.”
And here’s the kicker: there are NO taxis or outside transport options in the area. The resort’s car is the only way to the airport. They wait until the very last minute, when your flight is looming and your bags are packed, then slap the bill on you. Refuse to pay, and guess what? They won’t take you to the airport. You’ll be stranded in the middle of nowhere, watching your flight leave without you.
This isn’t incompetence — it’s deliberate, premeditated extortion. A trap set from the moment you arrive. Everyone is in on it: the staff, the driver, and especially the owner. This is a textbook scam operation, built to squeeze tourists dry.
And don’t think you’re safe booking elsewhere nearby — the same owner runs multiple resorts in the area, and if he’s pulling this stunt here, you can bet he’s doing it at all of them. This man is not a hotelier — he is a professional con artist hiding behind a resort logo.
If you’re still reckless enough to stay here, demand your final bill at least 24-48 hours before checkout, and make your own escape plan — because they’ll trap you otherwise. But honestly? Just stay away. Far away.
This wasn’t just a bad experience. It was psychological warfare at checkout. A relaxing vacation turned into a last-minute panic attack, staring down the barrel of being stranded unless we paid a bunch of fake charges to a smirking thief.
Avoid Oasis Resort. Avoid any resort tied to this owner. And warn everyone you know.
