A good hotel with a great restaurant
The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. However, the renovated rooms are nicer than those awaiting renovation. Ask for a renovated room. The lobby atrium is very pleasant and there is a modern glass elevator up the center.
The real highlight for us was the fantastic restaurant. There are 2 remarkable features of the restaurant. 1: It opens at 4:00am for breakfast (so you can be ready for those full day tours to the Sacred Valley or catch the early plane back to Lima). 2: The food is great, servings huge and prices low (see pictures). From memory I think was had 2 meals and 2 pisco sours with the total coming to about $35US.
I have no hesitation in recommending the San Agustin El Dorado. If you don't stay there, eat dinner there. You will be impressed.

Good central hotel in Cusco
Rooms on road were noisy but the staff had no issue with moving us to a quieter room.
