Charming castle, close to the town

A very friendly staff, romantic scenery, quite, close to the town, important note for all who take some milk with tea... You must ask for milk at the reception, don't expect milk in the room, average breakfast.

Sapieha one day, Sapieha always

My last visit was in 2011 and I was very curious to know if improvements were made to this Sapieha "nest". Well, yes. Even if we're still hungry. Collections moved in 1939 by Adam, Stefan, Jozef, Bonifacy, Stanislaw Ksiaze, Kardynal Sapieha to Pieskowa Skala (not far from Krakow) have not always taken their place. The other accessories (weapons) repaired since before 2010 "are conspicuous" by their absence. Nevertheless, an effort was made to visit. The family vault has been redone with a presentation of the most worthy epitafs. The visit is extended by a visit to the premises dedicated to the presentation of family photographs. Especially those of Adam, Stefan in various moments of his priesthood. I was very lucky that the visit was commented on by an exceptional Guide who wrote a PhD thesis on this family of "Magnates" = aristocrats whose ancestors come from Lithuania and the court of Grand Duke Gedymin.

Nice park and castle

We have staied in this hotel during our short treap to Przemysl. it was interesting expierence to staied in the castle. The have only 6 rooms in the castle located on the 3 floors. They don't have lift, so be prepared to climb the stairs. The rooms were clean and spacious enough, but the pillows were to soft as for me.

overall, a good place

We enjoyed our stay. The castle is huge, the park is grand. We stayed in the castle itself. Rooms in the castle are on the 4th floor, we had to carry our bags all the way up. There is no elevator and nobody to help. I would say, do not stay in the castle unless you are less than 30 years old and only have a small piece of hand baggage. You can simply stay in the other buildings where the rooms are very likely as comfortable as the ones in the castle. The restaurant was very good. The service in the evening was very good and somewhat awkward socially in the mornings (different staff, with less ability to communicate in English). We took the tour of the castle (this one was in Polish), we enjoyed the chapel and other rooms. The awkward moment was at the check-out, they didn't have an itemized receipt for us, only a total (all of the dinners and hotel charges) with some added taxes on top. I think they could do better than that, The guest simply likes to see all the charges, not just the final sum. Looking forward to our next time there.

In the castle grounds

Wasn't so sure about booking us in to this place, as some old castles are turned into posh hotels with prices from the moon, while others are rather poor, with interiors not really up to scratch, but still with high prices. This one is sort of in between, prices acceptable and rooms in very good standard. Entrance to the hotel just right from the main gate to the castle (that's for tourists visiting), secured with camera and open by hotel receptionist. Small car park in front of the hotel, much bigger one at the back of the castle. We got our room in the same building, as the reception is, and that building is called Pawilon Myśliwski ("Hunting Pavilion"), although they offer rooms in about four locations spread all over the park, including the castle itself. Not sure, what are the differences between all locations in comfort and in prices. Main issue - no lift, but that's understandable in such old premises. But we had to carry our heavy suitcases to the top floor. Spacious room for us three. Breakfast served in the main castle building, so that's a short walk from our Pavilion - not very pleasant in the rain. We had the chance to have our breakfast with large group from a wedding party the night before, so it was quite interesting seeing them being so tired... Anyway, good choice, would reccommend the castle as an accommodation, not only if you want to visit Krasiczyn castle, but also while exploring Przemyśl, as probably there's no better options in area. And by the way - it would be good that TripAdvisor moderators check, what they add to their accommodation lists, as this castle is listed three times: as this listing ("Zamek w Krasiczynie"), as "Krasiczyn" and also as "Hotel Zamkowy". These three got the same contact details. Hopefully somebody from TripAdvisor reads this review before adding on the site, and sorts out this mess.
