Space, clarity, comfort!

Excellent place, cleanliness, space, bedding, everything was perfect. Air conditioning, small balcony with view of Largo de Misericordia. Located in the historic center, a stone's throw from all the important sites, museums and places to live! We have already booked for August 2024!

Drinking Gyn with a view

Great Bar with great ambiance. Steps to the castle..shopping..train station..I hear the rooms of the hotel are great.
Stuff is very helpful. Amazing ambiance and price for the location...a great find..you must come and visit the birth place of Portugal

Nice apartment in good location

We stayed here one night. The studio apartment was lovely with a balcony overlooking the street. It was well appointed and very clean and comfortable.We had no problems meeting the owner to get in even though we were a little late. Parking is an issue as there are limited spaces available and the parking inspectors are very quick at giving out a fine. Having said that the fine is cheaper than what you would normally pay for parking. A big plus was the bar downstairs serving wonderful gin and tonics! Staff were very helpful

Great location and charming rooms

We had the 1st floor back room and it was very cool how they incorporated old city walls in the loft like apartment. Air conditioning was great given the sweltering heat outside. WiFi was available throughout our room. Only complaint would be the shower drain which drained too slowly.
We would definitely recommend staying here.

Great Place, but poor service

We booked Guimarães Studios Lounge for one night, because we were going to attend a wedding in Guimarães. From the begining, like we always do with other places, we were in contact with the Studios. We asked about the best place to park the car and we were told we could park on the public space in the square of the Studios. We have also asked for an early check-in (at 12h30) because we needed to dress up and be at the church at 14h00. We called the Studios on the day prior to the arrival and they confirmed.
When we arrived to Guimarães on Saturday, not only the city centre was closed due to an event and we couldn't park the car near the Studios, but we had to wait for 40 minutes for someone to arrive and for us to check-in. Which, of course, led us to arrive late to the wedding.
When we asked the guy who arrived late about the major traffic and why he was late, he just told us he wasn't informed about our request for an early check-in and he knew the city centre was closed and failed to informed us.
Further, we were left with only 1 toilet paper roll for 4 people... We had to chase the maid who, luckily, was cleaning an apartment, for her to give us more. When she asked if we hadn't received 2 rolls, and we said no, she just said "Bad luck"... not even an apolegize.
To end in "beauty", we were asked to check-out between 12h00 and 13h00. We left the apartment and found the cafe bellow all closed and no one told us where to leave the keys... again, we just chased the maid.
In conclusion, although the apartaments are in a great location just on the city centre, we have found the service to be really bad quality.
