Peace and tranquility
Stunning views to the bell tower, which not even with the bell chiming every hour disturbed me (8.00am to 10.00pm)
The host, Luis, just an amazing fountain of information and knowledge, nothing was an issue to him, always with his delightful manners to help, inform to all of his guests, wonderful and peaceful stay.

Beautiful house and gardens
The gardens were beautiful, and the kids spent many a long hour in both of the the clean spring fed swimming pools.
The owner, Louis, was very friendly and always available to answer our questions on the best places to visit \ eat.
Good Wifi was available throughout the property and grounds.
Breakfast consisted of delicious bread rolls, ham, a selection of lovely cheese, eggs, and even cake.

Impressive old Villa - well worth the additional walk
It is off the way by about 1.5K - but well worth the additional effort. It is a very impressive old world Villa - it is part of a "Tour old Villas in Portugal" promotion. It really is a dropout place, not many pilgrims come this way - but they should.
The rooms are large, furnished with old world furnishings, all in good condition. The private bathroom is large with tub and all amenities ( shampoo etc )
Some negatives - there is no aircon, so may be very hot in summer - no TV at all - no wifi in rooms only a limited area in reception.
A potential issue is that apart from inhouse, there is no eating place within walking distance. Reports of a cafe and bar over the road are inaccurate (probably dated).
An evening meal is available but is expensive - alternatively if you can eat prior to 6.00pm, there are options such as hamburgers available which we ordered and they were delicious and inexpensive.
To balance this, breakfast is included and is excellent with choices of both hot and cold food. To compliment the luxury of the villa there are two swimming pools and a tennis court. The host was extremely friendly and helpful.
If you are in a hurry to complete the Camino, then this would add time, but as a place to relax and enjoy, I rate it very highly

Qaint manor house just off the Camino Trail
It's an old manor house dating back to the 17th century with some modern additions. Run by a middle aged gentlemen and his assistance it has a home style feel to it and very relaxing. The rooms are more 1930's style with old furntire and wooden floors. Comfortable enough. Meals provided were basic but tasty and the staff very friendly and helpful. Definately worth a look in.
