An absolutely wonderful hotel!!

We stayed here recently for 3 nights as the first stop off on a planned road trip from Lisbon down through southern Alentejo region and onto the Algarve. What a find!! A lovely, well situated hotel with good facilities plus ample safe parking. Firstly, it was spotlessly clean. Our room, which was actually a suite, was thoroughly cleaned every day including fresh towels etc. There was also a complimentary bath robe and slippers! The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of fruits, breads, pastries, toast if preferred and cereals. Breakfast is the only meal provided but the hotel is located close to several bars, cafe's and restaurants in the town. We used the pool only once (in fact I think we were the only people to have used it that week) after a long day visiting the many historical sites of Santiago do Cacem, and it was fine even though the water in October was like an ice bath. The hotel bar was well stocked including a local gin "Black Pig" which the barman recommended. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to this town or on a road trip through the region.

Brilliant & well worth it

I would very much like to highlight the fabulous staff that work here. They were nothing but helpful & friendly during our stay and then even more so when I discovered I had left my purse, money & cards behind.

Great hotel in centre of town

We recently cycled from Lisbon to the Algarve and the company we cycled with (Cycling Rentals - century cycles) put us up in this lovely hotel in this little town. Our room was on the road side but had a great view of the fort and was very quiet at night. Very comfy bed. Wonderfully friendly reception staff, nice little pool. We walked to the fort which is not far and has great views. Very close to bars and restaurants. Great little find!

Great nights sleep

Excellent value for money. Clean room. Good bathroom. Nice view of the monastery on the hill. Kind lady at reception goes the extra mile to help out. Great night sleep and easy off road parking plus you can walk into town. Do stay here if you can.

Relaxing spa

Very friendly employees. Spa very clean and relaxing. We really enjoyed the massage service. The hotel also has a small gym and parking facility.
good value for money, especially compared to the prices in the surrounding area.
