Fabulous stay at Haus Sonnegg
In early June a week stayed at Haus Sonnegg. Choice made based on several good reviews on the internet. Being able to experience for myself that this was a good choice. Very nice welcome by hostess Gerlinde. Haus Sonnegg has two rooms with a double bed and a separate sofa bed. Rooms can accommodate 2-3 people and can be booked with breakfast. Furthermore, an apartment with a small separate kitchen with a kitchen unit including two ceramic hobs and a large fridge. Also in the kitchen a sofa bed for a possible 3rd person. Unlike both rooms, this apartment does not have a balcony where you can sit down to enjoy the view. Shared breakfast room in typical Austrian style. Fresh rolls and plenty of toppings. We got a boiled egg every day. Further fruit and homemade 'kuchen'. In short, fat 10 for breakfast. What we noticed was that everything was incredibly clean. Super nice shower where there was no fungus to discover. When I noticed that the hose was leaking slightly and this could probably be fixed with a new rubber, it turned out that when I returned that same day the complete hose with shower head had been replaced. Great! Free parking on site and covered possibility to store and charge your (e)bike. Plenty of dining options within a short walk, even directly opposite. During our stay our room was cleaned twice with plenty of clean towels. Dirt was even collected 3x. You just see that Gerlinde puts soul and bliss into the rooms. She can tell you all about Finkenberg and the wider area and advise sights. In the room was a folder with all kinds of information. Haus Sonnegg and Gerlinde have given us a nice week and is absolutely worth repeating. We are also not surprised that Haus Sonnegg gets a particularly high rating at Booking.com.

Wonderful family owned hotel
We stayed there for 4 days. A small, family owned, hotel with four rooms. Exceptionally clean and very warm despite the -10 C temperature. There was storage space for ski boots and skis and parking space for our car. The Wi-Fi connection was amazing and for free. Breathtaking scenery view from the room's balcony. The landlady, Gerlinde, was very polite and helpful. Thanks a lot Gerlinde for a lovely stay at your hotel!!

Outstanding Location with Great Service
We extended our skiing holiday with three days in Finkenberg at Haus Sonnegg on the basis of all the good reviews this pension has received, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived Frau Wechner warmly welcomed us and took us to our room. This was basic but good with an balcony that enveloped the entire room which was great to sit out on when it was warm enough. The breakfast was nourishing and plentiful and Frau Wechner was always ready to refresh your cup or offer advice on local facilities.
Overall this was a very pleasant stay which was only marred by the poor en-suite, which was very dark, had no shaving light and the shower door was extremely difficult to slide open or shut! However, this aside we would highly recommend this Haus.

Comfortable, Warm, & Friendly
We had a nice stay at Pension Sonnegg. Frau Wechner was helpful in telling us which restaurants were open (since it was pre-season, only 1 or 2 were open). She pointed us toward a local hike (up to some waterfalls), told us about the town's tiny Christmas market that was going on at the time, and gave us the bus schedule to get up to the glacier for skiing so we didn't have to drive up the mountain in bad weather. The breakfast was filling and tasty (normal for Germany/Austria). We stayed warm and comfortable even while it was snowing and foggy outside. The view outside our window was amazing, and we were able to park our car right in front of the house.

Отель расположен на центральной дороге. Хозяйка милая женщина, очень доброжелательная, всё объяснит и покажет. Все номера без кухни. До остановки автобуса 100 метров в небольшую горку. До отеля можно спуститься на лыжа по дворам от нижней станции Финкинберга. Рядом несколько ресторанов при отелях, бар и дискотека рядом с подъемником. Там же бесплатный каток.
