Spacious and comfortable apartment in the centre of Lech
We greatly enjoyed the week we spent in apartment 2 this summer.
The apartment is spacious, very clean and equipped with all you require for cooking your own meals.
The beds are comfortable and the apartment is tidied up daily with change of towels when you require.
The local card gives you access to all the lifts and local buses offering a large number of walks in different areas.
We are planning to return next year during the classic music festival to combine music with mountains.

Fantastic place in Lech
We stayed for a week at the end of the March in what turned out to be the best weather of the ski season - blue skies and wonderful spring skiing. Our hosts were fabulous and provided us with a great breakfast spread every day - including poached eggs which is not an Austrian speciality normally. Apartments are well equipped and very comfortable. If you are skiing it's only a short walk to the main lifts. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic family accommodation
We stayed for 2 weeks in Apartment 3 at Fürmesli apartments with our 3 children aged 8, 9, and 10. The apartment, their largest apartment, was in a great central location. It is in between 2 smaller T-bar slopes that the kids loved practicing their skiing on. The slopes were great for the kids to get their confidence on, and within a few days of ski school could go up and down as they pleased. The apartment is up slightly on the hill, but is fairly easily accessed using the lift in front of the Berghof hotel which delivers you to the main centre of Lech. The road downhill to Lech centre is steep in one section and can get icy.
Apartment owners Manuela and Chris were always very helpful and accommodating, and the apartment had everything necessary for self catered accommodation. It was a lovely, roomy apartment and the perfect place to retire after a day of skiing.
I followed the recommendation from other reviewers and when booking explained we would not need travel insurance as we already had comprehensive insurance, and that was no issue.

Very good but be aware
Fürmesli is a small but very cosy, relatively new and modern appartmentbuilding right in the heart of Lech. It has 4 appartments and the owners live in the bottom of the house. Appartments are quiet, we experienced no noise problems whatsoever. In February 2013 we stayed here for the second time (first time 2009 in app 4); with our two children. As all appartments in Lech it is fairly expensive, but the quality, location and atmosphere of the appartments are all very good- would be 4* easily in other villages. Be aware though: Appartment 2 and 4 have a balcony that gets no sun in wintertimes (although nr 4 has a small extra balcony in the back which is good for maybe 2hrs of sunshine a day). App 1 and 3 have a large and sunny balcony.
Furthermore; the breadservice went wrong for us on 2-out of 7 occasions, which left us those days with not enough bread and a bill that was too high.The prices of the bread are a bit higher than what you would pay in the bakery.
More important: Unless you strongly object, they will buy you an expensive travel insurance! Admitted, it was stated on the bottom of their booking-email that they would do it, and the first time we went there I noticed and objected. This time unfortunately I didn't notice it, and I do find it strange that they buy you a 125€ insurance (for a week!), without specifically asking if you want it - nor mentioning the high costs. It is mostly for their own financial security anyway. Because of this & the bread mistakes I give an 'avarage' for service and value. It would have been 'very good' otherwise.
Equipment: kitchen utensils, tea towels available, microwave, Nespresso machine and cups available (! this shows the high standard of Lech) Fridge, washing machine with powder... good size bathroom with bath/shower in one; daily cleaning. There is an extra seperate shared but super clean shower/toilet unit for the ones that go skiing on the check-out day. Beds are ok, 2m long. Location is nice in the center but still quiet, close to shops, and right next to the beginnerslopes, in February you can ski until 16.30. Warm ski-storage as well as a parking space available. You can arrange for ski-passes in the hotel.
No Pool, or fitness area.
