Perfect place for a calm vacation
This family oriented hotel is a perfect place for a calm vacation; the nice village atmosphere combined with the warm family welcoming of the Schindler family is a winning recipe. The rooms are clean and nicely renovated, breakfast is rich and tasty. We strongly recommend if you intend to stay in the area.

Wonderful experience in Austrian wine country
We've been to Burgenland a number of times and stayed in various villages on the Neusiedlersee. My husband chose this one because of the reviews, and it didn't disappoint. The host was friendly and knowledgable and the room was modern and well-appointed. There were plenty of places to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or coffee in the morning. The house premium Blaufränkisch, Lehmgrube, is a bit pricey but worth a taste. All in all a very nice visit. We'd go back.

Een aanrader in Mörbisch.
Very friendly hosts, with a great choice if fresh peoducts for breakfast. The rooms are big with a perfect bed and are fully airconditioned. We stayed there for 4 nights abd were able to join a free wine tasting of the house wines. Watch out for hot temperatured during summer! Ideal is spring or early autumn.

Lovely little place
We spent three nights at the Weingut Schindler in Morbisch am See in Austria. It is a working winery with 6 rooms. They have a small breakfast in the morning. We were offered wine when we checked in. They people were very friendly. The room small, but nice. They sent us to a good restaurant in town. I would definitely recommend it.

Lovely B&B
We booked a room in this lovely B&B for 4 nights. Besides the B&B this is also a winery, with 15 hectares of vineyards close by. All the wines we tried were excellent, which is not surprising since they win many awards. You can expect a warm welcome from Anita Schindler who looks after the B&B (superbly I might add). Part of your welcome is a glass of excellent wine. Anita is a gem. She can provide extensive information about the town, restaurants, and the surrounding areas. The rooms are very modern with comfortable beds, shower and separate toilet, closets, desk and flat screen TV. Although there are only 6 rooms, all on the upper floor, there is also a spacious lounge there with a large terrace. In the lounge you can help yourself to a large selection of their wines including chilled ones. What you take simply goes on your bill at what can only be described as bargain prices. Breakfast is superb with many home-made items - fresh eggs, fresh bread, cheese, homemade jam (including quince, our favourite), juices, yogurt with jams and cereals and a freshly baked dessert similar to bread pudding. North Americans enthuse about the so-called 100 mile diet, but our experience here is more like a 100m one, with the exception of fresh eggs which Anita gets first thing in the morning from her grandmother who lives across the street! Everything about this place sings quality, so it is no surprise that many visitors return. The breakfast room, which doubles as a wine-tasting room afterwards, is very attractive and looks out onto the courtyard festooned with flowers. There is ample parking on the street outside the B&B.
The location is also excellent. Morbisch is a very picturesque small town and the town centre is only a few minutes walk away and the ferry dock a bit further (probably best to drive or bicycle). Besides a very nice park at the ferry dock there is also a huge open air opera stage. Anita recommended the Csarda Café & Restaurant, which is slightly off the main tourist area of town (about a 10-15 minute walk from the B&B), but definitely worth a visit. We suggest you try the wine soup, which is absolutely remarkable – the best soup I have ever tasted. The restaurant appears to be a favourite of locals; it became our favourite 3 nights in a row. The menu is extensive with mostly local ingredients and the wine list very good too. We enjoyed all our dinners there.
Morbisch is on the Neusiedler See (region designated national park in 1992 and placed on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites in 2001), and the extensive park trails on the other side of the lake can be accessed by ferry (bicycles not cars). If you are interested in birds and wildlife, you can easily spend several days exploring the park. If you like to explore by bicycle, there are numerous short to long (as in day trip) bike trails throughout the region. The nice town of Rust (with all the storks) is only about 3 minutes away by car and, of course, you can continue on all the way around the lake, although you need most of the day for this. We found that the B&B was an excellent home base to explore the entire region.
