Situato a pochi passi dalla spiaggia e a 3 minuti a piedi dal centro del villaggio nel sud di Creta, lo Sky Beach Hotel a conduzione familiare offre una piscina e uno snack bar.

Panoramic, well-kept apartment hotel on the beach, a little off the beaten track
It has a breakfast terrace with pergola, views of the sea, as well as a beautiful pool with some sunbeds.
Our 3 room apartment was huge, as was the terrace equipped with 2 sun loungers and placemat and great views of the beach and the large bay to Matala.
The decor and bathroom (bathtub with curtain) were not new but tiptop clean. And finally big wardrobes!
At a barbecue (16€ p/P) we participated and were spoiled with homemade bread, amounts of meat, grilled vegetables, salad and fruit as a dessert. A “portion” would have been enough for both of us.
The included breakfast with bread, homemade jam, honey and cold cuts is served at the table: Eggs, feta cheese/olives and yogurt are charged extra.
Daytime drinks are available in a refrigerator for a fee. The bar also serves hot drinks and small snacks.
The owner family was extremely friendly and accommodating, we had booked on short notice on our trip in June, and it was all very courteous for us.
Restaurants are within walking distance on the beach or in the village of Aghia Galini. We liked the beach area and the restaurants beyond the estuary best.
The village of Aghia Galini is very idyllic on the steep slope, is built up with hotels until the attack and was too touristy for us, but at least much better than Matala, where busloads of tourists are carted off.
We were very happy to have chosen the Hotel Sky Beach, which is a bit off and was perfect for us! With the large apartments it is very family friendly.

She kept talking Greek while I made it clear I didn't understand. She seemed to think it was funny.

Family stay with a smile.
Room and balcony was spectacular. On Saturday nights Nikos and the family do a BBQ for all guests who are interested and we had a blast with so much grilled food and wine.
They offer great breakfast selections in the morning. His mom and wife are great people.
The only issue we had is that the WiFi didn’t work in our room on the 4th floor. Hopefully that will get better as did tell him about it.
Love the place and the family.

The best in the area
Family owned and operated hotel. Nikos heads it uop and is a great guy!. Uber relaxed atmosphere, he didn't even ask for card or passport at check in (we did not have a reservation).
Everything adequate, even fresh OJ (from own orchard) at included breakfast.
And yes, it's not superluxe, but very much (lot of) value for (little) money.

Family friendly hotel
Thank you for your wonderful hospitality Eleni and Nikos. We have had a fantastic 2 weeks and are so grateful for all your care and kindness ❤️ We will see you again in 2025. Jack will look forward to more vanilla ice cream
