The most amazing hotel stay of our lives
I was in disbelief of the perfect 5/5 rating on both TripAdvisor and Google, I didn’t think it could be possible for a hotel stay to be perfect, but this truly was an amazing stay. The staff at the hotel are extremely hard-working and pay close attention to detail, from the porter cleaning the pools every single morning, to Eman at reception who is available even after hours for anything guests need, they do a great job to ensure that their guests’ experience is truly memorable.
The hotel is somewhat off the beaten path, which we prefer, as we like peace and quiet, and do not enjoy late night activities or crowds. We did not rent a car or ATV, and the town is 20 minutes uphill by foot or 4-5 mins via taxi which the hotel can arrange and will cost 20 euros. This is not a good place to come if you are handicapped, with the stairs and far walks, but as an active couple, we enjoyed it very much. Eman set up a catamaran trip for us and a few dinners. All of her recommendations were exquisite and much appreciated.
Being in our room was basically heaven. Every morning I texted Eman on WhatsApp and she had our breakfast delivered on a tray to our villa so we could eat and have coffee outside on our terrace. The private heated pool was a dream, and the best we’ve had in any of the hotels we’ve stayed at around the world, it even beat out the Maldives water bungalow we had during our honeymoon. The only criticism I had was a minor thing regarding the lack of a door to the bathroom shower area, surely a design oversight, but it can get a little cold when you get out of the shower. Very very minor thing and overall not a big deal.
This is the longest review I’ve ever written and the first one was deleted before it posted so I am writing it for the second time. We were willing to rearrange our travel plans to stay an extra night but sadly they did not have any availability. Three nights was simply not enough, and despite all the places there are to go to in the world, we will most certainly be back to Santorini to stay at the Elysian Retreat and I hope they expand their concept to other places as well as now I want to stay anywhere under this family of hotels. I can’t say enough good things, you will not be sorry if you choose to stay here if you are a couple and looking for quiet, intimate time with your partner. Thank you so much to Eman and the staff!

Amazing stay - believe the reviews!
My partner and I stayed at Elysian Retreat for 4 night long birthday weekend. The villas are nestled away in the quiet area of Foinikia, which is a 15 minute walk to Oia. We stayed in Villa 7 (Euphoria) which was absolutely beautiful. Our stay was perfect from start to finish. Before we arrived the lovely concierge Eman contacted us to make reservations and recommend local attractions. During our stay she was equally attentive, and upon arrival we were greeted with a lovely bottle of wine. On my birthday I was also surprised with a cake- Eman could not have been more welcoming and professional. Our room was beautiful, extremely clean and the pool/view was picturesque. We would definitely stay at Elysian retreat again. Thank you to Eman and the team at ER for an unforgettable stay.
Tips.
The walk to Oia is uphill, however most of Santorini is hilly so be prepared! Be sure to stop at the lovely little local restaurants along the walk to Oia: Mezze Mezze and Santorini (which has live music at the weekend). Besalou in Oia is also fab for lunch. Fives Senses in Imerovigli is the perfect 5* date night restaurant. Taxis to Imerovigli are €35.

An Exceptional Honeymoon Retreat in Oia
Our stay at Elysian Retreat was truly special and a highlight of our honeymoon. The villas are absolutely spectacular, spacious, modern, and beautifully designed. We were pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to a suite with a heated pool, which is a must-have feature.
Breakfast to our room was outstanding, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a relaxing and memorable experience. Eman in particular was exceptional, helping arrange our ATV rental, transfers, massages, and dinner reservations. Every recommendation she made proved fantastic.
We cannot recommend Elysian Retreat highly enough. A truly wonderful stay.

Dream stay
Our stay at Elysian Retreat was a true favorite. We absolutely loved this hotel, which offers a completely different experience, focused on calm, rest, and serenity.
If you are looking for a peaceful place, away from the hustle and bustle of Oia, this hotel is simply perfect. It is a true haven of peace where one can fully enjoy Santorini in complete tranquility.
The hotel is also very well located, with an incredible view that makes every moment even more special. Our room was superb, very spacious, comfortable, and designed for true relaxation.
The staff was exceptional from start to finish, always attentive and caring to ensure our stay went perfectly.

Kindness, cleanliness, and breathtaking views
Everything was wonderful, from the super friendly staff to the room that was always perfectly clean with daily towel changes, to the spectacular terrace with a view of the sunset and warm pool, to the breakfasts in the room included in the price. Room number 1 is top for privacy and spaciousness!
