A stay like Ia's villa
My family visited Santorini for two nights.
I made a Reservation using the Reservation site and was contacted by a message on the Reservation site one week before my scheduled stay.
The content of the communication is roughly as follows:
1) Meeting in front of Paradox, a Thai restaurant in Ia
2) Ask for approximate arrival time
3) It contains the number of Whats app, and I wonder if this will be used to communicate on the day (Whats app is an app like Line, it will be used to communicate in English, but I think you can communicate without any particular problems using the translation function of your smartphone)
4) If you need a porter to carry your luggage on the day, it can be arranged for €15
We took a ferry to Santorini, which was about an hour behind schedule, but it didn't really matter because you can reach us via the Whats app.
I contacted them when I arrived at the meeting place and within about 10 minutes the Owner showed up and showed me to my room. It's about a five-minute walk from the restaurant to your room, and the gentle steps make carrying suitcases a bit difficult. I didn't ask for a porter, so I carried it myself.
The room is located one street behind Main Street in Ia. You'll be right on the main street, and you'll be quiet.
The rooms are three stories high with a kitchen, dining and living room on the ground floor, the main bedroom and bathroom on the second floor, and a loft-like structure on the third floor with single bed space and balcony.
The sofa in the ground floor living room can also be used as a bed.
It is very beautiful. Spacious shower room and sink. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a washing machine. The refrigerator is large enough to hold anything. There is WiFi but the speed is slow.
The best part of this room is the balcony on the third floor where you can enjoy the superb view from Ia. There's nothing blocking the sun, but it feels really good to have the wind through. You can also see the sunset and relax on the balcony at night is the best luxury. The family of four was very satisfied.
Breakfast was not included, but there was a bakery next to the first restaurant we met, where we bought bread and drinks in the morning and ate in our rooms. It was delicious.
Check-out is as simple as putting the keys back in place.
Please remember to leave 1.5 Euros per night as accommodation tax at Check-out.
We asked to be picked up and dropped off at the airport and it was €45 for four suitcases for a family of four. I don't know if the price will change depending on the number of people or the package.
I asked to be at the airport by 9:30, and a pick-up truck arrived at 8:30 in the morning and arrived at the airport around 9:00.
Luxury hotels are expensive, but they were the best rooms for a reasonably priced Ia experience.

Υπέροχη θέα από το μπαλκόνι.
Υπέροχο σπίτι με θέα την Καλντέρα , πάνω στον πεζόδρομο της Οίας. Πολλά μαγαζιά για πρωινό, φαγητό και κοκτέιλ σε ούτε 1’ με τα πόδια.
Wonderful house overlooking the Caldera, on the pedestrian street of Oia. Many shops for breakfast, food and cocktails in less than 1 'on foot.
