Perfect and tastefully decorated small hotel.

A very well-maintained and modernly furnished hotel in a beautiful square. We had a triple room facing the courtyard. Many nice and practical details: the balcony doors can be darkened individually, there are fly screens, a small refrigerator, and NO carpet. But also an excellent breakfast (eggs, fruit, local cheeses, muesli, good tea, plenty of fresh vegetables) and above all, a very friendly staff that is very helpful and competent with all questions.

A wonderful little gem at the doorstep to the Transfăgărășan highway

On our way to the magnificent Transfăgărășan highway, we looked for accommodation in a reasonable distance from the North-to-South starting point. Some 30 kilometers away we stumbled over this charming hotel in Făgăraş. It offers lots of personality, caring individual service, and excellent price/quality-ration. Our room faced the picturesque square and was creatively decorated. It had a fridge and a small (free) selection of water, sweets, and nuts. The air-conditioning was effective, and the bed offered excellent sleeping quality. The breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations and gave us a perfect start of the day. Overall, this nice little hotel surprised us in the most positive sense.
• PS: The hotel is named after watchmaker Eugen Hintz, a German engineer, entomologist, and explorer (1868-1932), who had his workshop in the building that is now Casa Hintz.
• PPS: Just next door you will find the Bricks Brasserie which is operated by Casa Hintz – a nice and easy add-on if you arrive late and look for an easy, fast, and good meal. There are also many other dining options on the square – a one-minute walk away.

Boutique hotel in Transilvania

We stayed with our 3 kids - 2, 4 and 9 years old during our Romania roadtrip. Central location in the city with excellent interior, good breakfast and friendly staff. Parking we found outside for our car, nearby there were various cafes and hotel was 5 minutes walk away from the fortress

Very pleasant experience

Great room, wonderful and varied breakfast. It is a historic house, renovated with great taste and attention to detail.
the result is a very cozy place to stay in the heart of Fagaras.
Located in the center, two steps away is the fortress of Fagaras, with a wonderful view.

Excellent place to stay in!

The rooms are spacious and well designed. They are well equipped and very comfortable. The service was excellent and we really enjoyed it. It is situated next to the Parculetul Central, with a short walk to the castle and cathedral. Despite that it turn to a quiet street (at least our room).
