a blast from the past!!
The Covid rules apply base on the staff likes and dislikes.
bed very uncofortable
pillow very dirty and unconfortable
the breakfast open at 9 am and before that is not possible to get a caffe.
restourant for dinner closed at 8 pm
rooms are very dirty and poorly manteined not hot water avvailable for shower.
wifi not avvailable
staff very unfriendly they are actually bothered that we are here.
this review is not based on the 2 stars however is the way we are treated.

tasty food in Cheia
- friendly staff
- central location / If you love hiking you must go to Ciucas mountains. Cheia is a great location. You should visit this place.

Worst experience of the year
The room was almost acceptable, but the bathroom was terribly dirty. We went in with our shoes on, and showered with our slippers on. No sign of the toilet bowl having been cleansed and disinfected. The walls of the bathroom were also dirty and the visible plumbing was rusty. We're thankful of not getting any skin affliction.
The worst experience, however, was the restaurant. Although we were told at the check-in counter that the last order is taken at 9pm, a very rude waiter told us that "the boy - meaning, the cook - is usually gone by 8:30pm. Many of the dishes listed on the menu (and I do mean a great deal of them) weren't available to order - that same waiter kept on telling us "he (the cook) ain't cooking this dish at this time of the day (7:30-8pm / I can't ask this dish of him" --- THEN WHY THE HELL ARE THEY LISTED ON THE MENU). Those remarks were accompanied by gestures of exasperation and frustration on his behalf, as if we were more than exaggerating when wanting to eat a decent meal by ordering dishes that were listed on the menu. When bringing the drinks, he just opened the bottles without pouring into glasses. - I thought that was being taught in the first semester of Waiting School. We skipped breakfast the second day and went to eat at another place in Cheia, as we were once again being treated awfully by that lowlife waiter.
However, we had a great time hiking. The surroundings are wonderful, the weather was perfect and thankfully we didn't have to spend too much time in this terrible and depressing place.
Our advice: go anywhere else in Cheia!
