Golf Hotel Pianu is set peacefully in Pianu de Jos, next to Paul Tomita Golf Club and Alba Iulia can be reached within 20 minutes by car. It offers a free outdoor swimming pool and sauna, as well as a poolside terrace and a bar. Free Wi-Fi is provided as well. The on-site restaurant serves local and international cuisine, which can be consumed outside while enjoying the views of the surrounding scenery and the old oak forests. In addition to their own terrace with deck furniture, all of the elegant rooms at the Pianu Golf Hotel, also feature air conditioning and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The spacious bathrooms come with bathtub or shower. Massages can be arranged on request and against an additional charge. A kids‘ playground is available on the premises. At the 24-hour reception desk, you can book fishing activities that are organised in the area. You can buy accessories for miniature golf from the in-house shop. Within a radius of a 20-driving minutes, you can visit popular attractions in the Alba region, like the fortress Alba Carolina and Aftela Monastery. The Transalpina Road is about 15 km away. Good location
Regarding the Golf Club, we were not allowed to play or not even to practice because we were beginners and told it is complicated and that we might affect the grass.

Regarding the golf course, only golf club members are allowed on the course. Beginners are only allowed during golf classes, but unfortunately we are momentarily in between professors, so we have interrupted the golf training.
We do hope to have you again as our guest in the future.

Great property with potential but it needs a lack of improvement
The rooms were nice, clean and spacious and we had a good sleeping quality. Even though two lamps of our bathroom mirror were out of order and definitely need replacement.
The food:
Breakfast: No cereal variation - no muesli or healthy choices - only over sugared kids cereal - very often no fruits at all on the breakfast buffet, but at least plain yoghurt - we were happy that one of our team had a big muesli and cereal collection in the car, so all the women were happy. Please - you are a golf hotel, so expectations are to get as well healthy choices and not only the tons of sausages and meat and eggs with meat on top. I expect from a cook if the meat options are untouched and there were no other hotel guests than us to change the options of breakfast. Only goat cheese, cucumber and tomato as healthy choices.
The dinner: Way too much food - 4 courses and huge amounts of food which nobody of our team managed to eat. Half of each course would be still ok and still too much. We stayed here 5 days and only on one of the 5 days there were a tasty variation vegetables on the plate coming with the meat and on another day a tasty salad . on all other days meat meat meat....or meat and potatoes. Just not my way of eating at all and not enough variation either.
The staff: Nobody even told us what we were served. As there was no menu the least to expect is that somebody tells you what we have on our plates.
The bar: We were only 10 people and on the 3rd day they were out of gin & tonic, which we loved to drink after our trips before dinner. A good bar tender notices this behavior and immediately checks the stock and if they have enough for the next days - but they organized a new bottle for the next day...
The pool: I was happy to go swimming in the morning but the pool water was pretty dirty - lots of leaves. There we no pool tools and no bedding for the beach chairs - not even in the afternoon. Were people expected to lay down in their bikinis on the hard surface? Sorry, but that´s not ok.
Would I come back? Only if we do a new offroadtrip and there is no other choice available and then I hope for improvement.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. Your opinion is very important for us, as we always try to improve our services for our guests. We will take into consideration a more variation of our dishes, in order to include also more vegetarian/ healthy dishes, according to our clients' request, of course. Regarding the bar stock, we usually make sure we have a large variety of drinks. However, we always try to satisfy our guests and provide with the drinks or food requested, even if it may take some time to restock our supply. Regarding the pool, there have been some windy and rainy days this season, and there may have been times when keeping the pool clean has been more difficult. We will take into consideration all your observations for further improvement of our services.
