Camino heaven

What can you say? Simply amazing in every aspect. Location, hospitality, ambience, all simply amazing. Lovely rooms and the granite buildings are fascinating.

Great Overnight Stay in lovely Casa Rural

We had a lovely stay (sadly for only 1 night) when walking the Camino Sanabres/Via de La Plata. The property is about 2km from the route so is well placed for that but also situated in a beautiful rural setting.
High standard of accommodation ie comfortable and well appointed.
Juan Manuel and his family are great hosts and very hospitable (their children also speak very good English).
Our stay coincided with the Spain/Portugal electricity & telecoms outage but that didn’t really cause any major problems. Juan Manuel took us to a local bar/restaurant so we could have a late lunch after our walking and in the evening we had a simple meal of Spanish omelette and salad with a lovely bottle of local white wine. All by candlelight due to the power outage.
The following day they gave us a lift back to the Camino route to continue our walk.
Excellent stay and Highly Recommended.

Camino Santiago

I stayed at Casa Casarellos for two nights during a stage of the Sanabrese path, we were a group of 8 people. A beautiful place, surrounded by greenery with very kind owners. I would happily return.

FATAL

I stayed here with 7 other pilgrim friends on the Via della Plata.
The owners are exquisite, kind, cheerful, at your complete disposal!
The rooms are beautiful, clean, with warm and comfortable furnishings.
Abundant breakfasts served at the table, there is no buffet.
We also asked them to prepare a packed lunch since there were no refreshment points for one stage and they provided us with sandwiches, water and fruit.
They also organized a visit to a historic bakery in Cea.
Separately we also requested passages for some routes.
They weren't yet equipped for dinner, but they took us to the Ateneo restaurant, at Sonia's, a few kilometers away...wonderful!!! Very good everything!
Absolutely go there!!!

Sanabrés Road

In the second stage of the Sanabrés Camino, after visiting the spectacular Oseira Monastery, we stayed in this wonderful house, 500 m from the Camino. It is an idyllic place surrounded by nature where we have been very well cared for by the hosts.
Without a doubt, I would return.
