Hill top views from attic en-suite

A super simple hilltop village hotel with great valley view from our attic bedroom. Very cosy, with wooden floors, good heating & hot showers in en-suite. Very welcoming chef proprietor, Jesus, multitasking good food & welcoming bar. Great coffee too! Village tiny but short hairpin drive down to medieval Elorio full of renaissance Manor Houses

Great find lovely people

Booked this hotel for a one night stop over while travelling through France/Spain.
Very quiet peaceful location.
Very clean and comfortable and staff very welcoming. We had a problem with our car and the hotel found us a garage to put it in overnight as we couldn’t lock it.

Nice comfy place with a really lovely welcoming!

I have been staying there for a night. I arrived by 10pm and the owner was very nice, some people at the bar also giving you a first good feeling! I asked for food to the lady and she made us some nice food and always smiling. I slept so well there, the rooms are very clean there, warm even if cold outside, beds are comfortable.
I definitely recommend this place!

DELIGHTFUL MOUNTAIN RETREAT

It's an escape place away from humdrum tourism. Elgeta is a neat little village perched high in the mountains of the Basque Country and Casa Rural Maialde is right in the heart. There's a bar/bistro on one side, a compact and quiet dining room on the other, and the small but well equipped rooms (I liked the woodwork) overlook the world. Great pic. Food was Basque and very good. It's a two minute walk to the plaza where everyone gathers, a couple of great bistros. We stayed at the Casa for three nights in April. If you are into history one of the big battles in the Spanish Civil War played out here 1936/37. Check the museum, real antiques! We will be back. Oh, yes, good parking for cars.
