A great place for a family vacation
We are recently returned from a week-long vacation at Marriott's Playa Andaluza on the Costa del Sol. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. It was extremely comfortable, clean and very family friendly. The property is very pretty. We were a family group of 10 and occupied 3 different apartments (two 2 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms). The hotel staff from the front desk, concierge desk, pool staff and cleaning staff were all very accommodating, responsive and helpful. Everyone made our stay very enjoyable. As you can imagine, planning for a group can be a challenge. Tommasso on the concierge desk and everyone at the front desk, Ania, Alex, Miguel, Johanna (and others) answered all my many, many pre-visit emails in a prompt way. Tommasso sent us many ideas for excursions (we went to Gibraltar) and restaurants and arranged a car rental for us which was delivered to the hotel. All our many requests were responded to and addressed. On our last evening, we even asked Ruben on the concierge desk to help us order food from a nearby restaurant! It can get a bit noisy at night as people tend to stay up later in Spain. The hotel is very comfortable and terrific for kids-many pools and a lovely beach.

Tried it Once and Not Again
Location: Difficult to get to, Atmosphere: Fine, Room: 2bd Villa, OK
Value: Fair, Cleanliness: Average, Nosie Level: Quiet, Service: Above Average- very nice check-in and Concierge -Tomaso, was were very helpful in booking our tee times and setting up travel arrangements!
Amenities: Lacking: Outdoor jacuzzi (5) cold, non existent beach with homeless camp 100 ft away. 1 restaurant on site and very few near-by unless you rent a car. Spa: Substandard.
What really saved us was Barrow Pub, thank you Wally!

Noise pollution
Beautiful resort. Fabulous apartment. Unfortunately week was spoiled by unbearable noise coming from a nearby beach bar 6pm to midnight. Repetitive loud booming base. Not much better inside with doors and windows closed. Unable to sit on the balcony to enjoy the nice evening temperatures.

Marriotts best?
You can stay either as an owner or just a paying guest. The flats are in 3 story houses and sleep 6 when 2 use the livingroom sofabed. There's a master bedroom with a private en suite spacious bathroom containing both showers and bathtub. There is also a doublebedded guestroom with a private door to its bathroom. Each bedroom has its own tv, a bigger one in the livingroom. A fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washroom with machine and tumbledrier. Every flat has its own balcony.
There are several places serving food and beverages and a 24/7 minimarket, it's a bit pricey. They have a spacious reception area and service is top notch.
You may try a lot of outdoor activities and there are lots of pools. And you can swim in the Mediterranean sea.
They organize different things for kids and grownups. And outdoors have lots of palms and greenery. Parking is also included. If you want you may visit Estepona or Marbella within minutes. And there are of course an abundance of pubs, restaurants, shops and leisure to use.
This was my second visit here and the service you get is toppers from the great staff. I also enjoyed a daytrip to Tangier even though it was a bit expensive. On Wednesdays there's a streetmarket in Estepona but you can also go to the ones in Porto Banus and Marbella.
I fully recommend a visit.
