For €40 I'm perfectly happy
A hotel room in Lleida itself was going to be €100 ish (in mid June) and I was grateful to find a room at the Hotel Reina Isabel for €40.
I mean, it's not luxury (and I'm pretty sure la Reina Isabel never stayed here) but €40 gets you a clean, en suite room with a/c, wifi and a TV. My room also had its own outdoor terrace with a table and chairs. The room was clean, the water was hot - what else do you want?
On arrival, I just couldn't figure out the air conditioning, there was a temperature dial (which did nothing) but no on/off switch. I spoke to the lady on reception, who reassured me that it all works fine - but she had to come to the room and switch it on for me, then even though if I moved the dial to below 24, it switched off. She assured me this was all perfectly normal, because the room was hot (it was 5pm) but that the thermostat would soon kick in.
To be honest, I wasnt convinced but the outlet did seem to be blowing colder air than the outside temperature, and after an hour or the room was reasonably cool. Although it didn't seem possible to use the dial to make any adjustments.
Anyway, this hotel is convenient if you're travelling. It's located on an industrial estate a few kilometres outside Lleida. It does have a restaurant but this wasn't open in the evening (although breakfast in the cafe the next morning was great.
But it's not far into Lleida, where, I daresay, one can find good restaurants.
I didn't manage to, but that's another story, dealt with under a separate review of Bokoto Sushi Club, entitled "well, maybe I was tired"
Anyway - to conclude, the Hotel Reina Isabel is good value at €40, provides everything it says it will, and staff are a) available b) helpful.

Good hotel restaurant
Hotel located on the road leading to Lleida.
Parking under surveillance.
Spacious room, good bedding.
No sound insulation however with very noisy hotel. Do not expect to be able to sleep beyond 6am max (the hotel mainly houses workers).
No functional air conditioning and hardly airable room when it is hot.
Daily cleaning.
Restaurant not open every day.
Evening menu at 13€ including 2 courses, dessert, bread and drink.
Very good traditional cuisine, hearty menu.
Very good value for money.

Budget friendly, clean
Im pretty sure that this is a truckstop, i didnt look before hand. It is a little ways out of town, but was clean. The restruant inside was basic but tasty. A good budget stay, if you have a car. It is about 5km from the train station.

Bien para una noche
El hotel está muy limpio y la habitación es amplia. La cama individual es cómoda, la almohada algo blandita. Es antiguo.
El checkin es 24 horas lo cual resulta muy útil para pararse a dormir de camino.
Los trabajadores de la cafetería, una señora y un señor, muy amables. No cogimos desayuno continental, tomamos allí unas tostadas y había muchos bocadillos y pinchos.
No le damos más puntuación por dos motivos. Uno, que se oyen todos los ruidos, lo cual también es responsabilidad de la gente que se pone a gritar de madrugada o de mañana como fue nuestro caso, que nos despertaron a gritos a las 6 y a las 8. También se oía a gente mover muebles... De la calle sin embargo no se escuchaba ruido. Las paredes son de papel y se escucha todo.
Dos, que la habitación era para dos personas y solo había un juego de toallas (y un vaso), con lo cual tuvimos que compartir la toalla de ducha.
Por estos dos motivos no le doy más de tres estrellas.

Fin de semana romantico
Estubimos yo y mi chica en este paradisíaco hotel de Lerida. Se encuentra en las cercanias de la ciudad rodeado de naturaleza dando una sensación cálida y agradable. Cerca también se encuentra el río Segre rico en fauna animal pudiéndose observar cisnes y jabalíes entre otras especies autóctonas de la comarca. Trato muy familiar sobre todo el matrimonio joven que regenta el hotel. Habitaciones espaciosas y lujosas sin pretensiones, cama cómoda y limpia ideal para estar en pareja. Muy buena ventilación con buenas vistas. En la cafetería todo exquisito sobre todo su lato estrella, la tortilla de patatas, que se nota que está hecha con cariño y producto de la tierra. Como actividad principal se puede practicar el golf en un minigolf que dispone el hotel y si dispones de más tiempo se puede jugar a un juego de cartas llamado butifarra que se celebra muchas tardes entre amigos.
