Great stay, warm welcome, overall happy

I booked Jet2 holiday package - All inclusive, we got dropped off just up the road as the coach cant get to the hotel, private transfers/taxis can park straight outside so not a problem to get to and was very easy to find from the very beginning. We had a warm welcome at the front desk and the lady that checked me in remembered me emailing her with the requests. I asked for a quiet room and it was lovely. Room 525, we had a lovely view as was on the top floor. Room was clean and tidy, cleaned each day, staff was lovely throughout the hotel. I would say the food was average, there was a wide selection but my son can be picky so lived on fries and ice cream. I am vegetarian and wasn't a great selection, but I was full each time I left the dining. They do offer a separate snack option for all inclusive but I didn't rate that at all was left out for 2 hours and flies were obviously buzzing around so stayed clear of that, so that was a down side. Pool area was great also, relaxing vibe on top pool area and all pools were warm enough to get into without being freezing. It was refreshing when the weather is hot, they do have 2 showers and 1 on the top area also. Great location to the beach front, short walk from the hotel and we got a taxi to waterworld which was easier for us and it was only about 10 minutes away and was around 10 euros each way All inclusive drinks that were included were a really good range I was really happy with all of them, some on the menu you had to pay for but I felt like I had enough options for the week. Loved the cava, the alegria punch and blue lagoons
Would definitely recommend this hotel, it was just me and my son travelling and I felt safe staying there. I had to make sure I put a good review on as I was very spectical to going after seeing the reviews, so I wanted to just put forward my thoughts, everyone will always have a different opinion but don't always review when it's a nice place. Satisfying

The hotel is very cozy, comfortable and relaxing, the beds are very comfortable, the stuff is kind, positive and very helpful, the location is excellent, but the food is poor, all in all is good ♥️

Do not book this hotel

I would strongly advise against staying at Hotel Alegria Paris Plaza in Lloret de Mar, especially if you are pregnant or travelling with children. The air conditioning did not work, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable. I am pregnant and suffered a lot because of the heat, and the hotel did not provide a satisfactory solution. The cleaning standards were also very poor. Bins were not emptied, rubbish was left in the rooms, and it felt like the only thing being done was making the beds. This is not the standard of cleanliness I would expect from a hotel.
We also had a very unpleasant incident with a man outside the hotel who was making threatening and vile comments towards us. We informed the hotel about what had happened, but their response was extremely disappointing. Rather than taking the situation seriously or making us feel safe, we were simply advised to call the police and speak to the man. We expected the hotel to show more concern for the safety and wellbeing of its guests.
I also was room 127 with a balcony facing the side street, sleep was interrupted due high levels of volume throughout the night.
Because of all these issues, we decided to leave the hotel early. What was supposed to be a relaxing stay became extremely stressful and upsetting.

Don’t believe the reviews! Fantastic 7 night stay!!!

Very sceptical about this hotel and almost cancelled due to the reviews - very glad we didn’t!!!!!
I have no idea why some of the reviews are so bad. We had 2 rooms for the 2 of us and our 2 teenage boys.
First floor rooms allocated, and yes albeit a bit noisy from the pool area, it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as we expected and we took ear plugs anyway. No issues.
The food was great! We had lots of to chose from and didn’t have a bad meal once. We didn’t do all inclusive only full board, but the beer is so cheap (cheaper than Coke!) it wasn’t worth the upgrade (€20 per person per night).
Location is amazing. Walking distance to everything but not too close to the night clubs where it’s a bit more roudy.
Air con is set to 23 So that was a bit of an issue to start with but the staff did everything they could to help cool the rooms down.
I have to say, all of the staff we encountered were so polite, friendly and very helpful. Particular shout out to Jesselle!!! Thank you so much for all of your help. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. She really went out of her way to make sure we were all very comfortable! She is an asset to your hotel!
Don’t believe what you read! We had a lovely holiday here!

Disappointing

Very Disappointing Experience
I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.
We paid €870 expecting a comfortable stay, but instead we were left with a room that was much smaller than it appeared in the photos. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. It kept switching off and the room never stayed cool, making it very uncomfortable.
When we contacted reception, we were told the air conditioning was “giving cool air,” even though it clearly wasn’t. Another member of staff even acknowledged that it wasn’t working properly, but Luca insisted it was working and said he could “feel it.” There was nothing to feel. Instead of listening to our concerns or trying to resolve the problem, he argued with us.
When you’re paying this kind of money, you expect good customer service and for problems to be taken seriously. The only solution offered was that there were no other rooms available because the hotel was full, which didn’t solve the issue at all.
The lack of customer care made the whole experience even worse. Rather than apologising or trying to help, we felt dismissed and left with no option but to stay in an uncomfortable room.
If you’re travelling from Ireland or anywhere else and expecting good value for your money, I’d think twice before booking here. For €870, this was nowhere near the standard we expected. Very disappointing, and unfortunately I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
