Pretty good hotel
We had a King Suite whirlpool. Room is huge. Completely seperate livingroom with tons of couch space, two AC units, 3 tvs (including the small one in the bathroom), very comfortable bed. It's not a new hotel and you can see that the style of some things is a little older but still in very good condition. Bathroom recently renovated. My only critique would be that they should close off the toilet so someone could use it while another person is using the shower or sink. It's a huge bathroom so there's plenty of room to do that.

Worst experience!
1 star. Four nights here for the bar exam. The room wasn’t clean when I checked in — crumbs and hair scattered around — and it was never cleaned once during the entire stay. Not a single day. Trash never emptied, towels never replaced. The sheets were visibly stained and worn.
Midway through I stopped a housekeeper in the hallway and asked for two clean towels. The ones she handed me had someone else’s hair on them. They were used.
On checkout day I asked for 12:30 instead of noon, a 30-minute extension. I was refused and told, word for word, “we have to clean the room within 30 minutes.” Remarkable urgency for a room nobody had entered in four days. The front desk was rude about it, as they were all week.
A room that starts dirty and stays dirty for four nights is a hygiene problem, not a service hiccup. Stay somewhere else.

Room not ready until 7pm- room still not cleaned
Went for a local concert. Check in was 4pm- rooms still not ready at 6:30pm. Missed 6:30pm dinner reservation. We were told the parking would be comped. Went up to room and it hadn’t been cleaned. Dirty sheets on top of the beds, bathroom was filthy, used plastic cups from restaurants in bathroom, garbage full, bathroom floor filthy- from previous guest. The room reeked of skunk weed. Spoke to manager- after showing him pictures of the room, he reluctantly said he would comp the room. Because the room was booked on Expedia, we had to contact Expedia to request a refund. While doing this in the lobby, the manager asked us to “just go” to the new room. By now it was 7:15pm- in new room at 7:30pm- concert started at 8pm- missed dinner. In the end, we didn’t pay for anything but it was only after being adamant. They were very rude. The location was great in proximity to MVP arena , but the experience wasn’t worth it.

We stayed one night. Quiet, clean and easy to get on and off highway. The property felt safe , the parking was easy but you do need to pay per night. Most hotels have a horrible shower head where you never feel clean and you need to stay in the shower longer just to get shampoo out of your hair. This shower head was complete opposite, quick shower and felt clean. Breakfast was great!! Will stay here again!!

This hotel met the standard usually set by Hampton Inn. It's right in downtown Albany with some of the downtown "hot spots" close by. On note of advice, though. The neighborhood around the hotel gets pretty seedy very quickly. I drove a few blocks away from the hotel and quickly retreated. A hotel staffer warned me to be alert when out walking.
