Great Asheville Experience

We absolutely loved staying here. My teen daughter loved the record player in the room, and we even ended up thrifting some records and a player in Asheville while we were there! The rooms were nicely appointed with games, blankets, hammocks, sound machine for at night etc. We really enjoyed our stay!

Clean AND Charming

Charming and clean. It was such a sweet location, convenient to so many areas of Asheville. We loved enjoyed the two common gathering areas with fire pits, chairs and picnic tables. I spent time on the deck in the eno provided---ahhhh, so relaxing. We walked our dogs mornings and afternoon on the French Broad River Walkway across the street. The street is busy and there was road noise, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Great jumping off point for mountain adventure

The people who created this place had a unique vision for this property. This is the second time we have stayed here which says something. The cabin interiors are spacious and comfortable with thoughtful and fun touches such as a record player with vintage records and a kitchenette with coffee and tea. Heating and cooling work well and windows can be opened which is a big plus. The balcony furniture is amazingly comfortable. The bathrooms could use a few more hooks and shelves for dopp bags and clothing when in the shower, etc. The big drawback to the interior is the water heater at the ceiling level. I wish there was a way to hide it as it’s noisy and takes away from the otherwise cozy interior. The exterior is thoughtfully landscaped, inviting you to spend time outdoors with the fire pits, hammocks and seating areas. I wish they knew how to use the solo fire pits correctly though: the pits need to be emptied of ash before every burn and the wood needs to be one foot or less in length for a truly efficient fire—otherwise it’s just another smokey fire pit. If they had destination car charging it would be a great add to the environmental ethos of the location. Be aware that this location is off a busy road; a jar of ear plugs is provided next to the bed which tells you something. The cabins in the back have little road noise but instead a view of the oil supply depot right next door. Hey—it’s urban camping. This is a great place to stay as a jump off point to mountain day hike adventures. It’s also a very easy walk into the River Arts District for a day of art galleries and breweries. So great to see this neighborhood coming back after Helene.

Nice winter getaway

We stayed two nights in one of the deluxe cabins. Everything was clean and the space was inviting with the high ceilings of the A-Frame. The location is very convenient if you have a car to downtown Asheville and West Asheville. The cantina has hot drinks, pastries and other goodies as well as a stocked cooler of drinks. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. There is a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator in the space so you can prep your own meals if you wish. The only minor complaint is that the bed was not the most comfortable, but that could just be our sleeping preference. We would recommend this as a great alternative to a typical hotel.

Wonderful hotel alternative for a getaway

My husband and I were looking for an alternative to the standard hotel for a 2 night stay in Asheville and we found the perfect fit! Cabins are well appointed - we got a kick out of the record collection in our unit! We enjoyed having a separate seating area in our cabin to enjoy some local charcuterie goodies for dinner.
I will admit to being a little concerned when I saw both a white noise machine AND complementary ear plugs. Happy to say that neither was needed and we slept very well!
Friendly staff, overall pleasant vibe.
