Worst Stay Ever
If you are thinking I'd like a real ghetto experience, here's your chance. This used to be a Hawthorn hotel, which is probably where they got the nice photos from. I knew I was in trouble because they simply painted out the name Hawthorn on the sign. No other name. When I arrived, I was told the room I reserved didn't exist. Well, they were right about that since there was nothing like a clean, functioning room on the premises. Instead, I was given the penthouse. (This is the place you insert ominous music.)
I would say at this point no lone woman should ever stay here. Ever. We found our room and the housekeeper at the end of the warped and broken stairs. I noticed all she had on her cart was a tub for sheets. No sign of a mop, broom, vacumn, cleaning supplies, or even toiletries. Weird, or so I thought until I got into the penthouse. The door stuck horribly with me having to shoulder it open every time. My daughter who has managed Hawthorns for years noticed immediately the missing furniture, basically all the livingroom section, television, plus clothes chest in the bedrooms.
What was left was rickety and suspect. Even the bed was broken in the master bedroom and the mattress in the loft bedroom appeared to be covered with dried blood. Bugs, both dead and alive could be found in drawers, on the wall, and crawling across the bed. There were handprints all over the bathroom mirror and cigarette ashes on the windowsill. Don't get me started on the tub. Look at the photos. Remember the maid cart that had nothing on it.
We disinfected everything first with santizing wipes and room spray, and then we went to Costco for new bedding. Any money we saved was immediately used to make the place more useable.
This can be a long term rental, but it is more section eight housing. We had the joy of having cheap weed filter into our room. Even the towels and sheets were stained and had cigarette burns on them. There is so much more I could say, but simply put: Don't stay here.
I am an Army veteran--and yet I can say this is the worst place I stayed ever.

Booked mainly because of the pool. When I arrived there was no water in the pool. I was given a room with a king size bed instead of the 2 queen beds I reserved. The door to the room was stuck and I had to get help just to get into the room. The flooring was sticking up in the room. Tripping hazard. Room was dingy and dirty. I left and did not stay there. Horrible experience. And no refund of course but I took the loss and did not stay. Lesson learned I guess. False representation of the property and pool. Complete scam in my opinion

Do not book. I always stay in the cheapest motels and usually laugh off some of the broken furniture or peeling walls but this was like a condemned building. I asked for a refund immediately. The picture of the room is not at all what I got. No pool, no towels, no toilet paper, tv didn’t work. The room smelled terrible like human odors, cigarettes, possibly dead animals. Flies and bugs everywhere, walls peeling, ceiling bubbled with leaks. No microwave. Staff was kind and helped me to get a refund but avoid at all costs, the bw up the road was just $10 more a night and was clean and had everything I needed. This property needs to be removed from hotels .com

My mom and I booked this hotel to attend the Vera Bradley sale that was supposed to go on May 1-3. but had found out that it was cancelled after we had checked in. The room smelled bad. There were no trash cans in the room, no soap for washing hands and only one wash rag and towel even though we reserved a room for two people. The microwave above the range had a broken handle and did not open. The staff was kind enough to have maintenance bring a countertop microwave. We ended up checking out the same day we checked in since the sale was cancelled, so I cannot review the bed that was in the room or whether or not they had any breakfast items in the morning. I probably won't book here again even though the staff was nice, and it was a decent price for a weekend stay.

Did you want toilet paper? Or a door that stays closed? Or an AC unit with broken or missing knobs? This is the "hotel" for you! As a bonus, you can find all the disgusting things you've ever wanted at this "hotel!"
The photos are lies. If you go in expecting to sleep in a disease-ridden dumpster, then you're good to go! But if you want a clean room where you feel safe, this isn't the place.
I cannot believe Expedia even lists this "hotel" on its site. Hey, Expedia! You may wanna check the pics YOU ARE HOSTING vs the reality of the real world location.
