It's a fantastic place; we have stayed there twice now and will definitely be back again. Beautifully restored and very well kept and very clean!

I have stayed here several times, and it is a wonderful hotel where you can truly feel the host’s thoughtful hospitality.
I also had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant owned by the hotel’s owner, and I would love to visit again.
I really appreciate how convenient the location is, with everything you need nearby. The people in the local shops are also very kind and relaxed, which makes the whole area feel comfortable and welcoming.
I truly love staying here and look forward to coming back again.

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and this is BY FAR my favorite stay of all time. The property is stunning and extremely unique! It is immaculately clean and well-maintained while giving the feel of an old-timey train station. The room had an extra little connecting room to a private bathroom, so it felt more like a suite. I could tell that every single piece of decor was hand-picked to give the suite a quaint flair and fit the train station theme. The muffins for breakfast tasted homemade and were absolutely delicious. After breakfast, my husband and I explored the town and discovered it is just as quaint and picturesque as the hotel. I loved staying here so much that I even told my husband that I want to come back here for my birthday! I can't wait to come back again soon and as often as possible!

The place was hard to find. The room was very nice and very clean; spacious too. We understand that few inns have staff on site except for the cleaning crew. All in all, it was a good experience, and we would go back again.

A Truly Unique Stay for Train Lovers and Everyone Else

The Caboose at the Trainmasters Inn is such a fun and unique experience, whether you’re a train lover or not. Staying overnight in a real caboose is incredibly cool, and the history behind it makes the experience even better.
The caboose was clean, safe, and surprisingly spacious. The bathroom, with a toilet and sink, is exactly what you’d expect in an authentic caboose. It’s completely workable, though probably best shared with people you know very well!
I slept like a baby. My son was actually hoping the nearby rail yard, about 500 feet away, would wake him up with some train action, but we didn’t hear a thing all night despite multiple strings of cars going out and being replaced while we slept.
Check-in and check-out are handled easily by text, and any questions are answered by a friendly human. We only stayed one night as part of a trip to watch trains in Palmer, but this would also make a great weekend getaway. There’s a fire pit, grill, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space to relax and enjoy the experience.
An incredibly memorable place to stay, and absolutely worth checking out if you’re visiting Palmer.
