amazing

we were there in May 2023, and we really liked this place and the host. he is really nice man and we enjoyed our stay there. the view on the balcony is really fantastic and beautiful. very cheap and affordable price. and again the host was really nice, we liked him a lot ☺️

Shameless, rude and lies.

Those responsible for this establishment are liars and their business practices border on fraud. I explain: we booked weeks in advance and on the same day as our arrival we were advised by whatsapp that they had no rooms available and that we should find other accommodation. This is unpleasant, but not as unpleasant as what's coming now. They tell us in the message a lie about damage in the shower by other tourists that make our reservation unviable. Good. I book immediately in another hotel in Ella and a few minutes after the reservation is accepted I get the same message on whatsapp - THE SAME, WORD FOR WORD-, telling us about the terrible damage in the shower... In conclusion, this hotel practices overbooking and then lies shamelessly to avoid apology. And in her lie, she uses a common story, the same as Ella's other hotels. That is, in addition to being liars and shameless, they are also stupid.

Fantastic little family run place with the best location

We stayed for two nights. The service is fantastic. The young man who runs it is such a nice person. He allowed us to arrive late, brought us some biscuits and tea on arrival! The place is spotless and the views and location are unbeatable. We’ve stayed in 5* resorts and didn’t feel out of place here.
Even though it was late he offered to walk with us the short cut down to Ella. He also allowed us a later breakfast and arranged a tour guide up to Ella rock.
We left early on the Kandy train and he offered to take us on his tuk tuk and provided a packed lunch.
Fantastic place and the balcony and views are gorgeous.

Outstanding!

Jewel!! It's much more than you pay for. Especially the host, Ishara. He is honest, humble, friendly and always available to help with anything. He arranged scooters, transport and even offer free rides to the center/taxi post for transfer to mirissa. Also present us will welcome drinks and fruit. The breakfast was delicious too!
The rooms were very clean and spacious. I hope we can move his business forward in the coming times..he and his mom truly deserve it! If you are reading this..congrats from the truly impressed portuguese couple

Really welcoming place

My wife and I stayed in Ella for 3 nights and really enjoyed our time at the Royal Vantage guesthouse. Both rooms have a balcony with a great view which also overlook the train tracks below. The host and his family are extremely nice people and made our stay really memorable. It's also only a few minutes walk from the town centre and there is a shortcut along the train tracks which cuts off a few minutes. Dont worry though as there are only a handful of trains which run along this route. The breakfast was really good and we were given a free tuk-tuk ride to the station and generally the host could not be more friendly or welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable with good wifi. Do stay here.
