A Soulful Escape: Our ‘New Divide’
Ravana Garden is a true sanctuary. As a couple seeking to disconnect, we found a "new divide" here between the busy world and total peace.
The experience began with a warm welcome and a refreshing mango drink that instantly melted away our travel fatigue. Our suite was straight out of a movie, featuring a private pool and dining hall. My favorite memory was leaving the French windows open during the rain, watching the water ripples while the scent of the garden drifted in.
The view is a hypnotic gradient of blues, the pool, the ocean, and the horizon all blending into one. We loved walking directly to the beach to feel the warm, thundering energy of the waves, and the sunset walk to the Ussangoda Red Cliffs felt like being on another planet.
The regional food was emotional and intimate, paired with refreshing fruit specialties that made every meal a celebration. Combined with a tension-melting foot massage, we left feeling completely renewed. If you want a raw, luxurious, and deeply spiritual escape to focus on each other, this is the place.

Perfect break after a demanding sightseeing schedule
The hotel is located by the sea, away from the village. We really appreciated the peace and quietness of this place and the sustainable approach with which the hotel is run. Our room with an outdoor shower was perfect and the pool in the garden was delightful. All the staff took care of our well-being from the beginning to the end of our stay. A big thank you in particular to the employee (whose name we forgot to ask) who accompanied us to the top of the nearby hill of Ussangoda for a romantic picnic at sunset, but also to Lakshitha, who took great care of us at mealtimes and throughout the day, to the spa employee for her invigorating treatments, and to everyone who, in one way or another, made our stay unforgettable. The visit to the bird sanctuary at dawn made a particular impression on us, a fascinating experience with a guide (Anjulo?) who introduced us to around fifty species of birds. We highly recommend..

A must-see for everyone
A particular highlight and a true gem of this accommodation is Nalin. He's the manager, entertainer, and guide all in one. His knowledge and patience in explaining everything with such friendliness and care are what make this place so special. Of course, we mustn't forget Lakshita (restaurant), the excellent cook with a discerning palate, and Budcha (rooms). Far from the hustle and bustle of loud music, surrounded by pristine nature, this is a culinary delight with exquisite wines and a superb dining experience. It's a must-stay for everyone! Each room prioritizes discretion and privacy, yet everything is within easy reach. A secluded beach invites you to take long walks without feeling uncomfortable. We'll definitely be back next year. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Brilliant staff, fabulous food and great location; the perfect place to relax after a busy week touring.
We had five nights at Ravana Garden following a busy week touring. We were met with a welcoming ceremony performed by Iresha, which set the tone for this lovely and unique hotel. Our room faced the sea and was exceptionally spacious with a balcony, and bathroom open to the elements. There was a water dispenser in the room as the hotel is aiming for a totally sustainable operation and trying to cut out single use plastics. The bathroom had practically all the toiletries you could need - including toothpaste and bamboo toothbrushes. Thanks to Buddika for keeping it well stocked and clean. It’s fully catered and there is plenty of food! We did, after the first day, cut down on the courses we had at each meal - but it was all very tasty and different with much of the food sourced locally. The chef, Hansika, was on hand to answer any questions about the food and how it was prepared. Nalin who managed the hotel was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide - the early morning bike ride is not to be missed.
If you have time, visit the spa - Chitrani is a marvel!
Do note that is you want alcohol with your meals, you’ll need to bring it with you.
It was a wonderful and relaxing stay - we really hope to be back soon!
