We showed up to the hotel a day early on accident. They were so accommodating and got us a room early! Very charming property would definitely stay again.

Fresh but very low standard

2 stars is adequate. The rooms don't look like the pictures at all. Ours had a wallpaper from the 90s, two 90-beds that slipped apart and worn laminate nightstands from IKEA. In the shower there is mold / dirt in the tile joints and a shower curtain from type Rusta. There is no manorial feeling. Therefore, I think the price is well high, it should correspond to a hostel. It feels unfresh that the towels are on the bedspread when you arrive. But the rooms are otherwise well cleaned and the service great.

Nice old hotel with a little quirky interior.
Good nights sleep and very nice surroundings.
Breakfast with very limited bread options.
They have no bakery nearby..

Lovely old manor stay close to town centre

Excellent place for a summer visit and to celebrate the Midsummer. Leksand village and Dalarna area offers the best Midsummer celebrations in Sweden. I loved our stay in this atmospheric beautiful old manor with a wonderful garden. The room was spacious and nicely-decorated. Both the traditional Midsummer celebration and the Midsummer music festival were very close to this hotel. We had a 3-night Midsummer package which included breakfast and dinner made of Swedish specialties everyday, which which were delicious. The staff were very nice.
We just wish that there had been someone at reception during checkout time. It would be a nice way to say farewell to guests. Such a small gesture, but it makes the experience so much better. After all this is a hotel, not a hostel and the package cost 1000€ for 3 nights. I'm not sure how many stars they aim to be as their advertising is a bit mixed, but possibly 3 and such a gesture would certainly be fitting at this price level.
