Perfect short stay in Basel

Been to this hostel for the second time. Unique location, central 5-10 minutes from Aeschenplatz, very nice and quiet surroundings, perfectly and modernly furnished, very good breakfast from 06:30. Thank you again.

Best hostel experience ever.

Very nice facility. The staff were all very helpful and breakfast was excellent. The hostel manager took a personal interest in assuring a wonderful experience for all. Would absolutely stay there again.

It was hot….i mean super hot and ventilation was non existent. I also have a leg problem and was given a room with only a top bunk. I found a way to make it work. It was one night only.
Bright spot was lovely breakfast at 6am which was a nice treat.
It is difficult to find the hostel unless you know what you’re looking for.

I had a pretty good experience staying at Basel Youth Hostel. The location is convenient, with easy access to public transport and just a short walk to the city center and the Rhine river. The building is modern, clean, and well-designed, with a nice mix of comfort and functionality.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was smooth. My room was tidy and quiet, with comfortable beds and good storage space. I also appreciated the free Wi-Fi and the availability of common areas to relax or get some work done.
Breakfast was simple but fresh and satisfying — a good start to the day. I also liked the eco-friendly approach the hostel takes, which added to the overall positive impression.
Would definitely recommend it to budget travelers looking for a safe, clean, and well-located place to stay in Basel!
