It was an unforgettable trip thanks to the kind staff/can't thank them enough
2 adults in a double room
▪️What's good
The staff are just kind. They were so kind I can't thank them enough. He was kind enough to say that he regretted a little bit after returning to Japan that he did not ask for my name, although he would not give details. Thank you very much.
You can stay in the traditional Sangoin-zukuri style, and the buildings and buildings do not feel old because they have been renovated relatively recently. The equipment worked fine.
-I had no problem communicating in English (I was able to communicate in advance and during my stay on LINE).
-You could always get free drinking water and boiling water.
I was able to stay quiet and calm (probably because it was winter).
It was close to the sea.
-You could choose a reasonable place to eat within walking distance of the inn, and you could see sea turtles from the land at the fishing port.
-I was able to book a snorkeling trip through an inn. I was able to swim with the sea turtle safely.
-The inn introduced me to a rental bike-like ride (a motorcycle, according to the Japanese sense, but no license is required) that was essential for island travel. By the way, if you rent a bike at the rental bike shop on the way, the clerk will explain how to ride it and then lead you to the inn while carrying your luggage. We just have to get there with all our might. We can leave our bags at the inn on the way home, and we can get our bikes back to the shop in time.
The nearby drink stand Xiadao Daoyu Shaenmen was delicious.
▪️Precautions and suggestions
-The room is almost occupied by a bed as you might expect from the picture. I think it would be useful for long-term stays if the interior storage could be a little more elaborate. You might at least give me a few more hooks and hangers on the wall (if I told you, I'd probably get more hangers)
-As far as I could tell, I couldn't find any convenience store (there are about two on the island) in the neighborhood where I could easily buy milk, snacks and household goods.
-Breakfast was included, presumably delivered from a nearby shop, but tasted a bit disappointing for someone used to a delicious breakfast fresh from Taiwan.
This type has a shower in the immediate vicinity of the toilet, which is common in cheap hotels in Taiwan, and the floor is the same. Things in the toilet or sink will become numb if you don't devise quite as much. I think it would be nice to have at least a shower curtain.
I wanted a look.
Here are some notes about the island in general, not just the inn.
-Anyway, this island is cash-oriented, not just for hotels. When we arrived at the inn, we paid for the inn (in our case, we paid for the snorkel and rental bike at the same time), and the day before, we had to pay in cash at another inn, so we had to be quite moderate about the food and other things (we went to the Yushan Bank to change money because it was a bank on weekdays when we returned to the East Port). This failure later became a worry for my trip (because I needed to pay in cash more than I thought, even in Tainan) because I had forgotten that I had to pay in cash because I was routinely paying online with a credit card at Booking.com. I realized once again that the cheaper I try to travel, the less cashless I'll be.
-Isn't Google Map saying this is private property? It might be better to follow the main road quietly. I've never been scolded.
-If you leave near the ferry, it may be harder to find a place to eat lunch if you miss lunchtime.
-I visited for two nights from December 29, but it was colder than I expected. When I visited the nearby East Port and other places in January of the previous year, although not on this island, it was so hot that I didn't want to walk in the sun. In the Japanese sense, it is impossible to swim in the sea in a swimsuit, but if you manage to be patient with the wetsuit only at the beginning, you will be fine after a while. On the other hand, in midsummer it would be quite hard to ride a rental bike (or rather an electric superbike) around the island's highlights in the comfort of your own home.
-We originally planned to arrive at Kaohsiung Airport at 3:45 p.m., and on the day we arrived at Kaohsiung Airport, we were going to take a taxi and ferry to the small Ryukyu Islands, but after seeing the ferry timetable, we decided to take a bus to Donggang, the town where the ferry is located, and stay overnight at Donggang. I was glad to stay the night before at the East Port because my flight was delayed somewhat. I was lucky to hit the day of the night market in East Port. I enjoyed a very large and lively night market. We also enjoyed the Donggang Market and Overseas Chinese Market the next day.

A hotel with the charm of an authentic Chinese house
The location is nice, close to the coast and easy to reach. The superior rooms are perfect: bathroom, living room, nice bedding. Breakfast is good. The staff is really exceptional kindness, lots of nice attention and good advice. The night is quiet. The decoration is very nice.

Overall is good, good location( nearby beach, restaurants, bar…) quite relaxing.

Special building appearance.
The building appearance was attractive but service and room can be improved. Room was simple. The host and staff were cool. Wifi was not stable in the room. You should prepare your own Wifi if it's necessary. Air-conditioner works well! Dinner - BBQ was fine. Food was enough. Seafood was fresh and great.

Cet hôtel se situe dans une belle construction rappelant une maison traditionnelle chinoise: une belle cour entourée de chambres. Les toits, les jardins, la décoration sont charmants. L’accueil est professionnel et chaleureux. Nous avons eut plein de bons conseils, réservations de vélos, de taxis et des petits cadeaux. La chambre est très confortable. La salle de bain est impeccable. La literie confortable et simple. Le petit déjeuner est simple et suffisant. L’emplacement est parfait : près de la mer, calme. Ce bnb est vraiment une excellente adresse !
