Best location, nice villas (but hard beds)
+ The resort has the best location of all resorts on the beach (central).
+ The Beach is steps away from all rooms/villas.
+ Plenty of sun loungers.
+ Nice & well kept swimming pool.
+ You can rent snorkel, mask & fins (& lifewests are free)
+ You can go snorkling straight out off the shore - but have to walk about 200 meters in the shallow water (Reef) first.
+ Breakfast is ok , with an egg station etc, but rather basic.
+ The Island of Koh Kradan is stunning and reminded us a bit of Fiji.seas
- The beds are stone hard.
- The reef is very broad and you have to walk out least 150 meters to be able to swim. But at the more upscale resort Mali at the end of the beach the reef is even broader.
- Food is better at The Reef & The Sandbar at Mali Resort
Sevenseas claim on their website that they are the only resort with a pool - but in fact NeXT door Reef Resort also has a small pool.
-Staff was nice & friendly, although a bit uneven
- There are many longtailboats with daytrippers arriving to the island, but they leave early in the afternoon and wasn’t really disturbing.
- The pier on the mainland is convenianty reached in 40-45 minutes by longtailboat. (No speedboats avaiable, but we don’t like those anyway. We had a terrible, frightening trips by a horrible speedboat from ”Tiger Ferries”between Koh Lanta & Koh Mook the week before…)

Rancid attitude from manager. Staff is lovely.
Our party stayed in two premier rooms, one on the second floor and the other one the first floor. The first floor rooms are badly lit during the day which can't be salvaged with the electric lighting in the room. The second floors are accessed by a rickety wooden staircase that are uneven and easy to trip on. All rooms are found along unkept pathways with so much wild weed and garbage, it felt like I was walking to a low class cabin and not a resort. Both rooms shared an extremely odd layout - for example, the open concept closet, safe, mini fridge, kettle and coffee were in the bathroom right next to the open concept toilet and shower. The toilet and shower also offered no privacy - rooms on the first floor could be viewed on the staircases to the second floor, and the bamboo scaffolding for the second floor had large gaps that could be spied through more than easily. This is a concern when you see how close the houses are to each other. Our door was also stuck and couldn't be opened easily.
More on the bathroom - the open concept meant that the entire floor could easily be flooded with water after a shower because unfortunately the flooring wasnt made with a good slope that directed the water to the plumbing. This made usage of the bathroom very uncomfortable as the floors remained quite sandy and soapy even after they became dry. For the second floor, there was also an odd and uncomfortable bamboo scaffolding corridor surrounding the exterior of the bathroom that didn't serve any purpose other than providing a strange jungle aesthetic and giving more space to potentially make uncomfortable eye contact with your neighbours. These oddities aren't very apparent if you just perceive the pictures on the website.
We tried to distract ourselves but the TV wasn't working as the screen had heavy static no matter which channel you turned to. Wifi was also really really slow even in the lobby and especially the rooms even though this wasn't a problem when we tried using the wifi of other hotels on the same island and on neighbouring island Koh Mook.
To add insult to injury, the manager was extremely condescending and rude when we asked for an explanation and just said that we should always expect that better lighting is used in photography. When we asked what he proposes he just threw his hands up in mock exasperation and asked us what we wanted with an annoying smirk, as if saying we were making a fuss out of nothing. When I said he should adopt a better attitude he said that I was getting personal and that he was 62 years old and has 42 years of experience in the business. I'm not sure why that's relevant. He also said we should understand that we booked through Trip.com and the hotel hasn't even been paid yet. Okay then, don't work with third party platforms if you're so maligned by them.
The only good thing is that the staff are excellent and even tried to help us enquire about new accommodation in other hotels. It was through their help that we realised that choices were very limited for last minute bookings and we could only stay for the rest of the trip. Nonetheless, I'm very grateful to them. The only reason to come back is for the excellent staff, who are very friendly and very helpful.
On a more personal note and perhaps this isn't the most relevant to guests, based on what we observed the staff looked quite intimidated by the manager, who by his own admission is not Thai. Given that our overall impression of Trang and Thailand has been overwhelmingly positive, I'd be remiss to fail to mention this in case this review puts anyone off visiting this incredibly beautiful island or leaves a negative impression on the locals, who have been welcoming and very very lovely. In my next stay I think I'd choose Koh Mook as it's closer to the mainland and has more local activity.

A dream
The beach a dream.
The bungalows are spacious, the beds large.
Unfortunately hardly any storage space for clothes. The half-open bathroom is a great idea, but you couldn't make a light there in the evening because of the mosquitoes.
In the hotel restaurant we just didn't care about food as it is much too expensive (only had breakfast)
But there are more restaurants on the island.
Breakfast was delicious and satisfying.
We also did not enjoy a massage, from 600 Baht...
There is no ATM on the island, please bring enough cash

Average stay
Breakfast was another letdown—cold food, very limited options, and not the quality you’d expect for what you’re paying.
That said, the service truly stood out. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, especially Jeeda—such a lovely soul who made a real difference to our stay.
In the end, what saved the experience was the island itself—absolutely stunning, with beautiful snorkeling right in front of the resort.

The bathroom is located in a conservatory with bamboo tubes for privacy. There's also the refrigerator there.
The staff is friendly, and the pool is decent. My biggest criticism is how poorly the wifi works in the room. It's super slow and, at times, doesn't work at all. So, don't expect to stream anything, watch YouTube, or work remotely. This should definitely be addressed as soon as possible in 2026.
Also, the breakfast isn’t very exciting. Quite simple.
So, in summary:
Nice three-star hotel.
But considering the price? Definitely not worth it.
Had we known what it was like beforehand, we wouldn't have booked it.
