Excellent weekend trip!!

This resort have a exceptional view of the mountain that different from the others.
The staff was very wonderful. Dinner and breakfast is very good. I’ll be absolutely back on next trip. Thank you for taking care of us.

Dangerous electrics, not up to standard

Not exactly what we expected, wouldn't accept credit card, shower didn't work, food limited in choice and quality. From the deck of our raft one can see just about everything floating by including raw sewage, the reason none of us ate the local fish – called Kang on menu (Googled as a type of catfish). What else could live in the River Kwai? Noisy when boats pass late in the evening and when other guests get on/off the raft. Very steep climb up from the raft. As for the food breakfast is limited to four choices from a picture menu and dinner menu is limited to Thai food and you can eat in uncomfortable restaurant, or they will bring to your room, by which time it is cold. We booked for 2 nights but left after the first night because the electrics in my son's room were dangerous with exposed wires and blue flashes from light switches. The owner refunded us only 3.600 baht but we preferred not to argue and settled. We are now holed up in The Hub Erawan Resort which is much more comfortable and I will review later.

Rooms on the river

We stayed there for one night after rowing down the River Kwai. The place was wonderful. Our rooms were on the river, the pool was great and the food excellent. The staff were very friendly. In our room the A/C worked well as well as the shower and the wifi. A great place.

Calm and quitet place

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our trip to river Kwai from Pataya. The resort is beautiful, peaceful and clean; we loved our stay there. The rooms on the raft are very cool and spacious, a bit outdated though. However, a funny incident happened right before we were going to sleep - a huuuuuuge lizard ran into our room, it was not one of the little ones which you can see everywhere, it was at least 40 centimetres long! We spent a good 30 minutes trying to kick it out. Overall, the breakfast and dinner were good, the room was good and the hotel grounds are beautiful. I would recommend to stay there just to experience sleeping in a raft room.
