Nice stay at Dar Farhat

The hotel had a very welcoming atmosphere. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast could have been a little bigger. Thank you!

Right on the edge of the Medina, very handy to the main street. Small breakfast included. Staff nice especially young lady at reception. Small kitchen sink included but nothing to eat or cook from but good for doing laundry . Big room with small balcony overlooking the main street but not noisy

I'd leave negative stars if I could. They denied us heating for two days.

My mother and I booked a 10-night stay at Dar Farhat over the phone.
We had no heating for 2 days. We looked for a remote to switch on the heat in the freezing room, and the two men working there claimed the hotel had "no remote" and "no heating." We later checked their website to confirm we did not misread their heating service, and sure enough, heating was listed as included. They also claimed no laundry or dryer service, but both amenities were clearly listed on the hotel's website.
When we confronted them about our findings, they did not attempt to correct the false information and instead remained apathetic. The skinnier employee, Hussein, later came up to me (a grown woman, mind you), saying, "You and your mother should show more respect when discussing concerns."
The bulkier employee had backed Hussein and repeated the same lies. We suspect he was behind all of this, as he casually validated the taxi driver who, on our very first night, handed us a piece of paper and claimed "the constitution" required us to pay far more than the mileage demanded.
This is unfortunately not the end of it.
They put us in room 103, and during a 5-minute shower, the water began to flood underneath the bathroom door and into the hallway. Hussein knew about this flooding possibility, as he responded saying, "a previous guest caused the crack."
After we insisted several times that the arrangement would not work with such flooding, he moved us to room 303, but then had the nerve to say he was doing us a favor.
After speaking to the hotel owner and a woman named Shayma, they seemed genuinely concerned. Shayma helped move us to a room on the third floor and gave us that long-awaited remote for heating. While I appreciate the efforts by the more competent employees, this review is based on my experience the first couple of days with those two men, and of having to keep seeing their faces whenever I would walk into the lobby.

Great stay! I was very impressed with this hotel! The location was awesome, the staff were so friendly, the rooms/building itself were quite nice. Definitely would stay again! They were very accommodating, storing our bags after checkout so we could explore Tunis, as well as allowing us to check in early.
