Wonderful stay
My wife and I spent five nights at Dream Inn Karaköy and had an all-round great time. Even if there were a few small things where there is still room for improvement, that does not justify a star deduction for us. That is why we deliberately award the full five stars.
We had booked the Corner Suite Room on the fifth floor with a fantastic view of the Bosphorus that has delighted us every day. The room was exactly as shown in the photos. Modern, clean and tastefully decorated – we immediately felt comfortable.
Breakfast was offered as a buffet and was held in the on-site rooftop bar. Just because of the view, that was a real highlight. The food was fresh and delicious, the selection overall very good. Although there should have been a bit more variety in the sausages and meats, this hardly diminished our positive overall impression. The Rooftop Bar is not only open for breakfast, by the way – you can also have lunch there or end the evening relaxed with cocktails and desserts. We really enjoyed that.
The first night we had a little problem with noisy neighbors which disturbed our sleep. We raised this the next morning at the reception and something was done immediately. The noise pollution did not occur after that, which shows that the hotel takes care of its guests and concerns seriously.
The staff is particularly noteworthy. In conversation we learned that it is a family-run hotel and that is exactly what you notice. The atmosphere is warm, warm and personal. You don't feel like an anonymous guest but really welcome.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Centrally located in Karaköy with many restaurants, cafes and sights nearby but still quiet enough to relax.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend the Dream Inn Karaköy at any time. A stylish, lovingly run hotel with character – ideal for those who want to experience Istanbul in a relaxed and personal atmosphere.

Nice hotel
The hotel is small, breakfast buffet, the choice of dishes is not very large, but for breakfast is quite enough. The restaurant overlooks the Bosphorus. Great location near Galataport. In walking distance Galata Bridge, Fatih, Istiqlal. The staff is friendly. We moved in earlier, no problem. Room's clean.

Everything was close. The only complaint that I have is that I asked for a wake up call at 4am and i did not get one and ehen I went to the desk that morning there was a young man working that didn't know English. The wake up call was important to me because I couldn't set my alarm to go off on your time (military time.) I chose to stay awake all night because I was worried and that was what saved me. Please make sure that overnight staff speaks English and that they do the appropriate wake up calls. All of the staff was perfect, and so kind. The day workers at the desk, I loved. The man running the breakfast upstairs was a dream... couldn't be more happy with them.

The location is excellent. You can walk to the port, several excellent restaurants, cafes and shops within walking distance.
Rooms are tiny and look onto walls of other building. No sky. Think the size of the closet in a studio apartment. Barely room for one person to stand with the suitcase. Not suitable for two people. More expensive corner rooms have a view but not when the ship is docked - then those too have no view. Hotel is noisy. No soundproofing - can hear other guests at all hours. Room has street noise and LOUD music from the bars until 2AM. It was like sleeping on the street. Breakfast is ok but you’ll get a better one across the street. Room is clean. Staff helpful. Hotels.com said if I paid extra I’d be upgraded but I was not upgraded. This is a lie. Don’t pay it. If you are solo, they’ll put you in a closet no matter what you booked. Larger rooms can be found at The Wings or at The Root hotel for the same price. These are in the same neighborhood and they are quiet. There are a lot of options in this neighborhood. The service from the staff was excellent, the location was near the Galataport, making it really easy for disembarkation, but at the end we appreciate the good service, also the roof top restaurant offers a nice view of the Bosphorus and the coffee was good to.
