Excellent hotel Clean and quiet. Very hearty and rich breakfast. We feel like family, thank you we will return.

Great hosts, central location yet away from the noise

The staff and owners are very kind and helpful, the man at the reception speaks English which is a great help. It's best to have cash prepared, although they do accept cards, but it will take some extra money if you pay by card, which is a standard for Uzbekistan. The rooms are clean and tastefully designed, they do have to separate buildings to accommodate guests, one with the terrace where you can smoke, grab a beer and do nothing, the second building is where the reception is and breakfast is being served, so maybe make sure with the staff which one you get (I booked what I thought was with easy access to the terrace but got one in the reception building, which was very disappointing but got corrected after two nights) if it's more important to you to have easy access to the terrace or if it's better to just go downstairs to get breakfast in the morning in your pyjamas :). The buildings are separated by one building or two, so it's not such a big deal, but it might matter to some. The location is great, literally round the corner and you can stroll around visiting the old town and it's wonders. The buildings are being locked at night for extra security. They offer laundry service and help with arranging tours.
What I didn't like was the smell of cooking oil of breakfast being prepared. It was a bit too much for me to bear, but I'm very sensitive to smell so it might not bother other people. The soap provided is far from what can be expected of boutique hotel quality (and it's scent). Breakfast is surprisingly very basic, the only coffee available is an instant one.

To avoid

We had booked the hotel on Booking, where it is rated.
However, we were victims of a scam by the boss.
The receptionist initially claimed that he could not accept payment by credit card in order to collect a commission on cash payments and to charge twice the tourist tax.
According to our exchanges with other residents, this problem only occurs with one of the receptionists, the others take the card.
In addition, this same person claimed that one of our rooms was no longer available, in order to push us to cancel the reservation while retaining the cancellation fee.
In our view, these actions constitute fraudulent practices.

The centre of Bukhara

Small family run hotel. Rooms all renovated and clean, water in the room and brand new bathroom with personal hygiene products. One evening we had dinner at the property and we could taste traditional dishes cooked by the mother and wife of the owner, who was assisted in the service, even by his son. Great breakfast. The whole family is involved in the management and has gone out of its way to meet all the requests. I even used the laundry service. Good choice in the center of Bukhara.

Great hotel

Cozy as a guest! Excellent, authentic hotel, located in the old town ! 50 meters from Labihaus! Kind staff! A very good breakfast. Cleaned up every day! All requests are executed instantly. I highly recommend it!
