Pleasant light lunch

My wife and I enjoyed a light lunch here after visiting Tarr Steps and a pleasant walk along side the river.The welcome was friendly and efficient.As it was a nice day we sat outside , our food arrived in good time and was well presented , my wife had a Ploughmans and I Caesar Salad both of which were really nice.We have no problem recommending this restaurant.Oh , i forgot we both had Sticky Toffee Pudding … very nice !

Wonderful staff, lovely food, beautiful spot, only let down by the room, it wasn’t worth what we paid I’m afraid it was very dated and the bathroom was in desperate need of replacing (which they knew about ) but it was not reflected in the price

A gem in the Exmoor countryside

Despite living close by in Dulverton, this was our first visit to Tarr Farm Inn. I booked dinner and an overnight stay for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary. After a friendly booing in we were shown to our room, well proportioned and supplied with everything you could wish for, and an en suite bathroom whose facilities included both a bath and separate shower cubicle. Before dinner we enjoyed a refreshing gin and tonic outside in the warm summer sun. Dinner followed a freshen up in our room with good selections of starters, mains and desserts. Our meals were cooked well and presented beautifully, with a good selection of wines to accompany the food. After a very comfortable nights sleep we enjoyed an excellent breakfast with choices to accommodate every taste.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and its superb Exmoor location, and we look forward to returning to this Exmoor gem

Fantastic food and service

We visited here lots of times while on holiday mainly just for drinks but we had a meal here in the evening the food was out of the world it was absolutely delicious there was 8 of us altogether and 2 dogs we are had different dishes of the menu everyone enjoyed their food and the staff were all extremely friendly we will definitely be returning in the future when In the area next

Going the extra mile - and then some!

Tarr Farm Inn is absolutely beautiful, and everything that you need to enhance a visit to such a gorgeous place. It doesn't rest on its laurels, however, and the lunch we had was absolutely delicious, with a good range of vegetarian food that was very much appreciated (plates cleared!) by the veggies in our group. Really good service too, and I watched a staff member helping a wheelchair user gain easy access to the inn with great sensitivity and humour on both sides. This ensured a lovely historic building was accessible to all users (not always a given). We'd had a fabulous visit anyway, but then the staff leapt into action to help us when a member of our party was injured, even managing to help locate a missing mobile phone and return it to us afterwards - talk about customer service! If you are looking for somewhere that absolutely goes the extra mile to care for its guests and visitors, I cannot recommend Tarr Farm Inn enough - you will love it!
