An excellent B&B on Hadrians Wall

I stayed in this establishment, pre-Covid, and was perfectly happy with the experience but since then they now offer accommodation within the main building.
Given the quality of the rooms (stone walls, wooden beams) and the immaculate condition, it was a wonderful stay.
The owner is very helpful and accommodating and the breakfast was superb.
The location is ideal for walking on Hadrians Wall, for walks in either direction.

Just Wow!

After many years of experience of holiday homes, we all agreed that Vesta View is the best. The booking process was straightforward and Leah is a kind and helpful host, while also mindful of visitors’ privacy. The house itself is immaculate and all 5 bedrooms boast superb en suite facilities so nobody ‘draws the short straw’! We really appreciated the space and the accessibility of the downstairs bedrooms, which made holidaying with an elderly person with disabilities so much easier. The kitchen and utility areas are well equipped and we are already missing those 180 degree views from the lounge windows. What with the views and the wildlife I hardly read a page of my book all holiday! Leah, we don’t quite know how you run your business and bring up a young family but hats off to you and Kevin! It’s been a holiday to treasure. Thank you.

Wonderful Location

This B&B literally is built on Hadrian's Wall which is why we booked it. It sits on a knoll and looks across endless sheep fields to the southern horizon. Our room and bathroom were updated and comfortable. The location and our room were quiet which is essential for us. The included breakfast was more than we normally would eat. Dinner is optional at a modest additional cost, and it too is hearty. To begin your walk along the wall all you have to do is cross the street.

Stunning location

This B&B is a converted farmhouse with all the charm you could ask for. Lots of historic features but all the modern amenities, with views that cannot be beat. Breakfast was plentiful. Guests should note that they do not offer supper on Saturdays or Sundays and there are NO places nearby to get food. Be sure to plan accordingly.

Phenomenal B&B

Kevin and Leah’s beautiful home is arguably one of the best I have ever stayed in! Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms which were absolutely immaculate. I don’t feel the need to go into any specific great detail because If anyone can honestly find a fault well, this is someone who is fussy or who has a sad hobby in pedantic fault-finding. Even the views are amazing! You can’t buy that down south!? (biased Geordie).
I would highly recommend Carraw to groups of all ages especially families. I would love to bring my family next year. My nieces and nephews would love it!

Judging from the attention to every detail you have put it in to your stunning home, you have truly worked really hard and should be very proud of your efforts and also your high quality standards with the five star service and facilities you provide. 


Carraw is an enchantment within its own right. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend. Your bonny retreat captivated my friends and I. It truly made 2021 a much brighter year for us all. The much needed catch up we eagerly wanted after all the unfortunate recent events we have all experienced over the last year and your fabulous home was the remedy and tonic we all needed to go with our gins!
