The Egypt Mill Hotel is situated in the unspoilt Cotswold town of Nailsworth. The 16th century riverside hotel features a restaurant and bar. Our Restaurant and bar has a great local reputation with a wide choice of dishes to suit all tastes.

Great staff, food and room!
I would highly recommend The Egypt Mill - the rooms and grounds are beautiful, the food is delicious and there are some cute bakeries, shops and a Morrisons within just a 5 minute walk. What stood out most was the team - unfortunately my husband became ill with shingles during our trip and nothing was too much trouble for the staff at The Egypt Mill. We ended up having to stay an additional 2 days as my husband was bed bound and the team were more than accommodating - they continuously asked if we needed anything, brought toast up to the room when he finally got his appetite back, and left clean towels / waters etc outside so not to disturb us but still make sure we were well looked after. We were really grateful for this! The only suggestion I’d make is including a fridge in the room, to keep water and milk cold. Thank you for a lovely stay!

A perfect stay
We stayed at Egypt Mill for 2 nights to attend a wedding at a venue close by. From the very moment we arrived every single member of staff we encountered was fantastic…friendly, smiley and professional. The setting is stunning, the rooms are amazing and the breakfast is one of the best. I would highly recommend staying there.

A quirky Cotswold gem
Our stay at Egypt Mill was a delight . A fascinating building with a beautiful garden setting too. Our bedroom was lovely with a very comfortable extra large bed . The staff were, without exception , charming , friendly and helpful . We look forward to visiting again

Weekend break.
Lovely room in the separate block, far away from any noise. Really clean and comfortable. Free water in the room and a fan for the hot weather. Towels changed on both days we stayed. Lovely outdoor drinks / dining area. Had dinner in the restaurant on the first evening and the quality of food was excellent. Service started off a bit slow but it improved. Very efficient bar staff.
