A winner.!

Well the reviews are 2-2 at present and based on our experience it's a thumbs up. Whilst it was disconcerting down a residential road which was a cul de sac the large residential house converted into a mini hotel was spotlessly clean and the bedrooms were perfectly adequate with really comfy beds. As just friends we had separate rooms so we were able to judge two bedrooms. For the price complaints about the breakfast is not justified. Ample cereal selection, yoghurt, orange/apple juice and tea,coffee and hot chocolate. We had breakfast in the garden which was lovely. Met Paul in the morning who was welcoming and helpful with directions. So by way of conclusion we would recommend it. A win then for the Sage and hopefully England tonight.

Very very nice

I stayed here twice. Very comfy clean room with tv and wifi. Shower in room. Shared toilet. Communal lounge and kitchen. Water fruit and tea provided. Kitchen has gas cooker microwave and double door fridge. Abosutelty spotless.
Anti viral cleaning proceedures in place.
Very quiet house in quiet area
Some people thereliving in shared accomodation. Central heating throughout. Very very good value for money. Too many features to mention. Town us 20nins away by 16 bus.

Clean and comfortable

I was attending a function and booked a one night stay. It was perfect for my requirements. The bed was very comfortable.
The booking process was very simple. On the day of my arrival I received a text from Paul giving me the door and room codes and checking when I would arrive.
Very clean, spacious and functinonal room.
I had to leave very early the next morning so am unable to comment on breakfast.
I would have really liked to have a kettle and some tea bags in the room.
I travelled there by taxi, it seemed a short distance to the station, I don't know if there is a local bus, I think it would be quite a long walk.

Not a B&B, bedandbreakfast.com is a scam, aggressive owner

I arrived to find that not only is there no Front Desk, but there was nobody there at all, which isn't clearly stated in the description. Other guests arrived and I found out that you actually had to phone the owner for a code for the front door. There is no way that this is safe, the code is not changed every day. Anybody could check out and then come back the next day. I was staying with my young daughter and did not feel safe at all. There was no proper breakfast, just some cereal left in the kitchen. I was booked for three nights but checked out after the first night. I rang the owner to say I was leaving and he became very aggressive when I said I wanted a refund for the remaining two nights. Later he texted me to say that it was sorted, but I still haven't received a refund. There is absolutely zero customer service from the bendandbreakfast.com website. A scam from start to finish. Best avoided.

Raised some issues, got threatened and told to leave.

I arrived to stay for 3 nights. Approaching the house, I drove through a very residential area and discovered that the "hotel" was just a house at the end of a road.
Upon opening the door I was hit by a strong smell which pervaded the house but nobody appeared to be in this supposedly 8 bedroom house.
The photos are of my room, with a broken window handle so the window would not close, a broken toilet, and interesting wallpaper. I raised the issue of the broken items with the landlord, as well as the smell, and Paul then told me to get out in a threatening manner.
I would think twice about staying here again.
