Excellent in every way

Had a one night stay here. Room was small but spotless and very comfortable. Had dinner, lunch and breakfast all were excellent particularly the breakfast which was freshly cooked. Staff were friendly and very helpful .
The location is superb and very handy for the M4 . Can’t recommend it enough will definitely return.

Overpromises and seriously underdelivers

Restaurant that overpromises and underdelivers.
The menu here looks really promising but the reality was slow service and not good at all. The oak smoked chalk stream trout was hot smoked and like uninteresting salmon. But the mains were seriously poor. The slow cooked steak was overcooked and not meltingly tender as implied. The pork belly was burnt underneath so the meat there was inedible while the crackling was soggy rather than crisp. The whole thing was made worse by the long wait for mains. Definitely one to miss.

Excellent vegan roast

Had a vegan Sunday roast at the new restaurant and we were really pleased. Lovely to be able to have a Sunday roast out as a vegan as many restaurants we’ve tried fail abysmally to cater to vegans or just offer a token tasteless
Falafel dish. The veg was lovely and the meat alternative roast was delicious. We will definitely be returning and recommending to our friends. It is a really good place if you have a group with varied eating preferences as many dishes have gluten free, vegan or vegetarian options.

LYDIARD PARK HOTEL MMMMM

We stayed Nov 25 attended a function the room was ok comfy clean nice shower bed comfy the event was good food at event nice drinks and staff friendly enough and helpful however breakfast is where it dipped the water for tea not hot enough to draw the tea from tea bag coffee also horrid the advertised cooked food sausages were albinos bacon anemic eggs all hard and along with the mushroom swimming in oil beans cold as we're the hash browns and tomato the toast had to go through the machine twic to a a bit of toasting on the bread and no cereal on offer unfortunately this severaly dips the score as if I stayed there again I would look elsewhere for breakfast
