To flee if you like hygiene
Cobwebs everywhere! (above the TV, the bed, in the bathroom....)
Shower thermostat not adjustable, hot water, we took 10min found 1 suitable temperature. Cracked shower tray.
Remaining seat on the toilet brush.
Hair and hair in bed, we have doubts that the sheets have been changed!
Dust everywhere... No hygiene
The owner moderately pleasant, with 2 intrusions into the common room.
Many of the foods on offer were expired (October 2024 expired cheese, chocolate powder, expired coffee powder)
Breakfast mediocre for 1 gîte de France, few in quantity, 1 clementine rotten. Nothing fresh: orange juice, fruit salad, croissants...
Very chipped carafe at the spout (response of the hostess there is no risk of piece of glass)
Very nice setting and a very nice house with lots of charm but hygiene and expired products ruined our stay. We expected much better seen the price and ranked gite de France.
Following our visit we looked at the negative reviews and expect a virulent response from the owner.

Dust, poussière, stof
We stayed at the top floor (family room). It’s like a museum you walk into which is very special and amazing. But one thing ruined everything: unclean, bad hygiene.
And I’m not exetirating. See photos.
Dust under all the beds, under the closet, under the tables and on the head of the bed. A stain on the bed sheet and just dust, dust, dust everywhere.
Told her at the checkout that it was really dusty and she said it was because of the bees and leaving the window open… I’m sorry, but it’s only because of one thing: not vacuuming.
It’s really too bad, because she wanted to be nice but the lack of hygiene is unacceptable.
If you go here, make sure you take one of the rooms on the ground floor.

Very rude hostess
There was a misunderstanding between us and the hostess about what time we were to have breakfast. We had understood that when asked by her, we had said between 8-8.30am. A few minutes after 8 we all sat down at the largest table that was laid for breakfast (the babies were hungry). (there were only 2 other tables set for 2people each). We began helping ourselves to what was already laid out, fruit, yogurt, cereal etc and had no idea that Madame would be so upset. She was extremely rude to us after we explained that there had been a misunderstanding about time (she was insistent that she'd said 8.30am) and puffed away, complaining to the other guests about us! Also I had mistakenly used a teapot next to the kettle that was for decoration purposes only. Furthermore her puffing and complaining continued during the entire breakfast and when we left the table, she carried on gossiping with the other guests about us. Perhaps it didn't occur to her that I was right next door in the bedroom and could understand!! Anyone would think we had committed the crime of the century. If you decide to stay here remember to obey ALL the rules, speak good French and be very wary about upsetting Madame. I would give this place a wide berth!
