A Hidden Gem !

Behind a green door in a wall in Via San Bernardo is this traditional Italian B n B. We were met on arrival and shown to our room no2 .
The room was on the small side but had everything you would need , bedside night stands , large wardrobe and dressing table . The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. There is also a modern en-suite shower room , which is supplied with shampoos , shower gels etc.
The room had an old traditional window which faced the street, much needed air conditioning was also available.
There was a communal kitchen with cooking facilities , fridge, utensils , tea , coffee and everything else you would need .
There property also has a lovely courtyard garden which was nice to sit in with a glass of wine after a long day sightseeing.
Breakfast is provided by way of a voucher for the nearby Cristalle cafe , this gets you a drink and a croissant.
The B n B is ideally situated in the centre of Pisa for all the sights and is an ideal base for touring Tuscany , trains are plentiful and the station is 10 minutes walk away.
All in all we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this B n B .
( tip - ask for bedroom 3 which has French doors to the garden and a little more light than the room which we had ) .
Hopefully we will be back in the not to distant future.

Very comfortable lodging

This old mansion is located in the " Riviere gauche" of the Arno River has been converted into several rooms that look onto a beautiful garden. There is a common kitchen for three rooms with everything you could imagine. The bed is so comfortable, the pillows are the fluffiest, the bathroom is great and the place is spotless. What can I say? The owner, Lisa, is a genius that has thought of everything ahead of time. Train station is about a 10 min. walk from the house. So are Pisa's main attractions like the Tower and Cathedral. Around the corner there is a Piazza with great restaurants.

Avoid the Street View Room

Simple. Clean. Simple. The breakfast is Italian style (coffee and bread). Lisa communicates well and quickly. Small room. Close to center of Pisa and loud square filled with families and noise 6PM-11PM. No heater to dry towels if above 22C

Get the garden view room

Our main floor room (2) window looked out to a busy street which we understood to be pedestrian only, but many scooters and cars passed by early in the morning to well into the night. Outside conversations entered our room easily, even with the window closed. “Breakfast” was Italian style: pastry and coffee (very good, though). The room was smaller than we expected. Lisa was very communicative. It was a reasonable walk to major sites in Pisa. The communal kitchen had apples and water available, along with coffee/tea stuff.

Well located and quiet

We tested the apartment as a large family. It’s nice, well located with an interior courtyard, it’s quiet. The staff is very friendly. I recommend. There are small restaurants around and it's not too far from the tower and the historic center.
