Mini break to Rome

Took a last minute mini break to Rome early June this year.
Location, atmosphere, room, value and extremely helpful, friendly and insightful assistance by Eddie and staff on reception ;and housekeeping led to an unforgettable and fantastic break away. In a very secure part of Rome, close to sights, bars and restaurants.
Hotel was perfect for what I needed.
Would highly recommend.
Was a quiet area and all amenities were on point.
Everything clean and tidy.

Great location for taking day trips from Termini station. Big supermarket Conad only 2 minute walk. The neightboorhood felt safe with a police station across the street. Reception open 24/7 which was good because we arrived late and left early in the morning. In the reception you could also get lemon water which was nice after a hot day. AC was really good, room got cold really quick. Only small complain was that the elevator was very slow. When we took it together with two other hotel guests it was only possible to press one floor button so we had to go with them to floor 4 and then it was possible to press the button again back down to our floor.

Great stay!!

Location was convenient to termini station, we did walk to some attractions ie trevi fountain which took around 30mins.
The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere however some night we did hear noise from other guests. Air conditioning was amazing!!
Rooms were cleaned each day, a little bit dated but it did the job and we felt comfortable.
Great value for money in terms of how many nights we stayed breakfast was included but we didn’t use as we wasn’t up early enough lol.
Receptionist was lovely on our arrival, gave us a map of the city, best places to visit and recommended a lovely restaurant within walking distance La Famiglia Pizzeria we dined here every night it was amazing food and value.
Would highly recommend and return :)

Good Value for explorers.

This hotel is rated as a three star and this is absolutely fair, making it good value for the price. 8 mins walk from the main train station, similar to the nearest metro stations for Red and Blue lines. If you prefer walking it’s 25 mins away from what you would call the tourist centre.
Rooms are big and comfortable for two if not a little dated. Bathroom could do with some work but the shower was decent and it was well cleaned with fresh towels and linen daily.
Alessandro on reception was very helpful mapping the city for us and telling us how to get from place to place and also where to avoid if possible. He also recommended a local restaurant 3 mins walk away which we enjoyed. The service from the other staff was also reasonable but he went above and beyond for us.
If we returned to Rome we would stay here again, no issues.

The Camelia Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Roma Termini, super handy if you need to catch an early train. The area is very quiet, not touristy, lots of Embassies nearby and police station across the street. Ristorante La Famiglia Pizzeria (suggested by hotel staff) was excellent. Pastas, pizzas and more. For gelato, we walked back past the hotel to Gelateria La Romana dal 1947. Lots of people in line, but worth it! Other restaurants tucked away on side streets and alleys. The Kitchen Bar had a good breakfast and nice tables inside to sit, or you can do take away. The staff was very helpful and the room was very nice. The bed (two twins together) was huge, nice for tall people and very comfortable. Excellent value.
