Shocking check-in, otherwise better than I expected.
It was a shocking experience, at the check-in level. I just read the review of another family that found itself in front of a wall, by the reception, because it did not have the ID of a newborn .. to us, family, something similar happened. Arriving late at night, we realized that we had forgotten my 15-year-old son's ID card at home, but that we had the photo of it (therefore with my son's number and photo in addition to other data) in addition to the physical tax code. The warden refused to let us in, saying that we should do our son's identification through the police. After three phone calls to 112, a policeman asked to speak to the receptionist and asked him to let us in. I was literally beside myself because it seemed like an impossible nightmare. Only at that point the manager, contacted by phone by the receptionists, (after insistent screams from me) let us in but told us that the next day we should have identified the son. We went the next morning to the police who told us that they could do nothing written to identify him, but told them to tell the manager that we could safely enter using our son's ID photo. We did so but the manager once again said no and then luckily the policeman made us photocopy my son's ID card, the one we had the photo of, and wrote signed and stamped that he was our son. Only then did the manager let us check in.
Apart from this unfortunate episode, the staff is very courteous.
As for the hotel, in my opinion it reflects the price paid. We for three days we walked exclusively in the center, it is about 15 minutes walk from the Colosseum. Nearby there are still good restaurants. The room seemed clean, the bathroom was large, albeit without a bidet. And windowed. The pleasant shower. Comfortable beds. Certainly not a luxury hotel but I did not expect it as such. Breakfast I found quite good especially the croissants, yogurt, there were also krapfen, cereal, fruit in syrup orange coffee machines etc. Of course if you like the salty, there were only salami cheese ham cooked, but it was not our case. Breakfast is served on a beautiful veranda with window overlooking the rooftops of Rome.

Unpleasant, do not stay here.
Two days before, they called from the agency to ask them to deduct the already paid breakfast; the reviews were terrible, and I can confirm that. They did not want to; when I arrived at the hotel, I asked the woman at the reception to deduct it from what I had paid, as we were going to be 10 days without breakfast at the hotel since the breakfast is terrible. We argued; she told me that it could not be deducted because it was written down, and that was it. That same night, the air conditioning, which is centralized and controlled by them from the reception, did not work for us. We went down to the reception three or four times, and as a solution, they gave us a fan. Revenge of the cross-eyed, it is clear that it is. I do not recommend this hotel, if you can even call it that. You also cannot complain because you are out of your country. If you want to avoid problems, do not stay here; everything is very neglected, old, and broken. I do not recommend it even for one night.

Indecent.
This is not a hotel; it is a nightmare and a true legalized scam! The photos on the website are misleading; the reality is a dilapidated, filthy structure that is literally falling apart. The rooms are dangerous and indecent: crumbling plaster, broken furniture, dirt everywhere, and electrical outlets ripped from the wall. To complete this disaster, there is a receptionist with an outrageous lack of manners, an arrogant, sour, and aggressive person who, in response to my justifiable complaints, had the audacity to reply to me with an unprecedented insolence. They literally steal money from people by offering a dump and treating customers with utter disdain. Shameful and exploitative, you should be shut down by tomorrow morning! Do not even approach! Unless you want to lose more than €600!

Terrible and dilapidated.
Awful hotel. An experience absolutely not to be repeated. Continuous noise even at night, broken and dilapidated furnishings. I couldn't wait to finish the stay and leave.

Very bad experience
I had never been so poorly treated in a hotel; let's start with the room, if we can call it that, as it resembled a dungeon, with extremely dirty walls, a filthy bathroom, a lot of dampness, broken and swollen door frames due to humidity, cobwebs, windows covered in two inches of dirt that could not be opened to air out that strong musty smell. As for mobile coverage, it is nonexistent; there is no signal, and the Wi-Fi does not reach. The reception is good; at least they allow you to leave your luggage there after you check out. Upon arrival, we were charged a tourist tax of almost €30. The breakfast leaves much to be desired; it is very scarce, with hardly anything available. The area does not seem very safe, and you are far from everything; there are no stores or restaurants nearby, and you have to walk quite a bit for everything.
