A beautiful hotel for family vacations

We were in the sunny city of Shymkent recently. And for relaxation and birthday celebrations, they chose Hotel Rixos Hadisha. Lovely weather, great location. The Guest Relation and Reception team has a special thank you. Everything was carefully prepared for arrival. All requests were responded to instantly. They complimented the room with a cake. All that matters is clean. And the staff at breakfast are so friendly. I liked it.

Terrible hôtel

Absolutely terrible hotel.
The room cost 89,000 KZT per night, yet the service and overall condition of the hotel were nowhere near worth the price.
We stayed for one night (June 19–20, 2026). From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the hotel had serious organizational issues. There was no concierge, and only one receptionist on duty. While we were checking in, another guest was visibly upset and complaining that he had been waiting for over an hour to have his issue resolved.
The room lacked basic amenities such as an iron, kettle, and hair dryer. We had to make several phone calls just to have these essential items delivered.
The rooms themselves are very worn out and in desperate need of renovation. The entire property feels outdated and poorly maintained.
I am genuinely disappointed that I chose this hotel. For this price, one would expect a much higher level of service, comfort, and attention to detail.
This was my definitely my last stay here.
At best, I would rate this hotel 1 star — and even that is being generous.

Rixos Khadisha Shymkent place combines the charme of a vintage hotel with state-of-the-art amenities. Very friendly and professional staff. Quiet environment.
