Best hostel in town

I think this is the best hostel in town. The location is perfect and it has a beautiful view overlooking the water. The communal space is by far the best part of the property. There are comfy cushions running down both sides of long communal tables. There are outlets near by for working and a great view. Because the communal space is so cozy, it is a great place to socialize and easy to meet people in a chill setting. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and the included breakfast each morning had variety and was delicious. When I stayed, there was also a tiny puppy running about the property and weaving in and out of our legs as we were eating. Fantastic! They also had a free group dinner one of the nights I was there (Thursday). I would definitely recommend this hostel for a budget solo traveler!

Avoid at all costs

To all fellow backpackers - Avoid this place at all costs. There was a medical emergency when I stayed there as a fellow traveler needed to go the hospital ASAP from a bad fall and was unconscious. The response from everyone in management was absolutely terrible - they had no idea who to contact or how to get paramedics into the hostel which is unacceptable. Zero safety protocols, no first aid kit, and were absolutely useless in helping us to the point that we had to physically go to the hospital to bring paramedics onto the scene . You can not run a business for travelers and not know what to do in an emergency. Will never return here and am completely disgusted in the shameful response from the staff.
