Road Trip to Germany

Hotel in a nice quiet location, but room is dated. No house-keeping after 10 AM. Breakfast was good with lots of variety. Bed and pillows too soft for our liking. Probably, very old mattress. Parking is 10 Euro per night.

All in all but highly recommended

Nice large warm central room
Nice swimming pool
Small sauna
Nice rich breakfast and evening buffet (was constantly supplemented ) with very friendly staff
Good TG parking
For 4 stars there is still room for improvement.

We were greeted at the reception by a friendly lady and even though we were early, we got to check in. There was a welcoming plate of cookies at the reception which proved to be a delight for my daughter. We got a family
accommodation and it was two separate rooms with separate bathrooms. Pleasantly surprised by that. Very clean rooms. The walking distance to places was close enough - to the train station, to the river and to the city centre.

Good hotel but not 4 stars.

We had booked a week in October. The reception at check in was very friendly and informative. We also booked an underground parking space, as there were hardly any parking possibilities in front of the hotel. We had a larger room with balcony which was very quiet and clean. The cleaning worked very well. The early opening of the indoor pool we found very pleasant.
Negatively, we unfortunately have to highlight the breakfast. The buffet served unkindly, sausage selection was not possible. Looked like just unpacked from the discount store and the same every day. Cheese plate after a short time very untidy. No salads or typical regional treats. Good on the other hand the selection of baked goods, very diverse and tasty. We didn't find breakfast appropriate overall for a 4 star hotel, we are used to better.
The hotel is very centrally located and thanks to the spa map you can reach almost all cities etc. by bus. It worked great, you hardly need a car. A very nice town, nice pedestrian area and delicious restaurants. From Bavarian to Asian or Greek, all locations are within walking distance.
We will definitely come back to this beautiful area.

In all a great hotel and I would recommend. Just a few things that, for me let it down just a bit. We were placed in a disabled/ accessible room. It meant we had a huge shower but also bars. I didn't book an accessible room, so why wasn't I given a choice. The garage was rather dark, my wife didn't like it there. And finally sone of the upstairs hallways were dingy too, certainly some better LED lighting would help.
That said, food was really good, although we only had breakfast, huge selection and tasty, staff were always very helpful.
