Kolb are the stars on Langeoog
Tolles nettes Hotel; prima Service. Great wellness area with swimming pool. Good breakfast and restaurant shuttle makes perfect soups; associated Cafe Leiss completes the whole thing. Good service and very friendly staff.

Pure relaxation
A quiet hotel off the pedestrian zone. Everything within walking distance, otherwise rent bike, the island is good for slowing down,all are friendly and helpful, restaurants are all good. Note for the hotel it has no elevator, but also has only 1 floor We had nothing to complain about, but nagging is always there.

Nice cozy hotel with very nice staff, in a very quiet location
Positive we found:
The look and design of the hotel (near the main house, a nice terrace with beach chairs, for resting), the beautifully decorated room (over in the "lifestyle"), the great cozy beds (in which you can sleep very well), an in-room safe, a walk-in closet, the friendly, very helpful hotel staff (We got a 3rd on request). Pillows, and 6 hangers for the wardrobe), the very nice cozy restaurant (which is also the breakfast room), the very good, rich and very delicious breakfast (No wishes remain unfulfilled here. There is everything: Salmon, matjes, salads, cereal, scrambled eggs, bacon, small Nuremberg sausages, boiled eggs, sausage, cheese, marginine, butter, rolls, bread, sausage, cheese, fruit, vegetables, honey jam, Nutella, miscellaneous juices, coffee, tea, cappuccino, sparkling wine and much more). If you don't get fed up here, it's your own fault. Who says it doesn't taste good, he's lying!). But the HIGHLIGHT is that you can bake yourself fresh waffles. Contrary to other statements/reviews, I have to say that the buffet was always replenished on time (Very attentive staff). No complaints. Always smiling and friendly staff. TOP.
On rainy days you can play board games in the foyer or in the great bar (backgammon or similar).
Located in a beautiful quiet location, away from "mass tourism". Very good!

Negative we found:
The too small terrace (And that you are not properly protected, so the neighbors can see that there)! The noise/quiet hum at night (in the "lifestyle") that comes from a pump or similar, from the swimming pool and/or sauna?!? Or from the nearby washroom?!?
The place on the toilet is very cramped! The sliding glass doors are practical, but not properly buffered/cushioned, so they always make loud noises! The light in the bathroom is very sparse (not bright enough to shave or make up!). The water pressure of the shower is a little too weak! The drain of the shower is badly done, hurts at the soles of your feet if you stand on it too long!). At night, when you want to go to bed (10.30 pm/11 pm) you often hear the door slamming from the neighbours/other hotel guests (But it's not the hotel's fault!)!!! Some people just can't behave, and always have to stand out somehow, somewhere, and everywhere!!!
The price/performance ratio! Somewhere such a room with bed and breakfast, compared to others, but very expensive! It's a kind of "luxury holiday"! - You don't treat yourself to anything else......

Perfect!
We really felt like king at Hotel Kolb. The staff are incredibly friendly and lovely. You're always smiled at and beamed at. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired in terms of quality and choice. The location is central yet completely quiet. Since it was our wedding anniversary, we treated ourselves to a 3-course menu in the in-house restaurant "Schiffchen". The food was delicious and we also received a small and loving surprise. Conclusion: Perfect!!! We will be back.

An exceptional hotel in style and quality
We stayed in the Kolb Classic Hotel (there are several on Langeoog - and also on the mainland) and stayed in the "Gold Rush" junior suite (with roof terrace).
The location of the houses a little on the edge of the town, but on the main road is convenient and above all quiet, relatively close to the center and also to the beach. The individual rooms have a special style, very unusual - our suite was funny and very spacious.
The greeting from the "housekeeper" was very personal and friendly.
The same applied to the service in the architecturally beautifully designed restaurant, which is divided into different areas - it never seems crowded or loud. The attentive and friendly service (with Vietnamese charm) was convincing. Also the excellent cuisine, which combined regional and international dishes, at a very high level - which of course came at a price (but quite rightly so).
In the neighboring building across the street (Kolb Livestyle) there was a sauna and swimming pool as well as other rooms in which dogs were also allowed (not in the main building and restaurant, which was an important criterion).
So we spent a very nice Christmas 2023 in this comfortable house on a quiet island without much tourism - that's what we wanted.
When we wanted to book another Kolb hotel for one of our next holidays - in Bad Zwischenahn - our wish for "dog-free" could not be fulfilled. Dogs are welcome there, everywhere. What a pity.
