Feeling like home in Kathmandu
Beautiful rooms and excellent service! We stayed here twice on our trip in Nepal and would always come back. Very near to all shops and transportation, it is much quieter and relaxed than inside noisy Thamel centre. In the beautiful courtyard with sun in the morning you have perfect possibility for breakfast. The very friendly and informed staff had always been helpful in any matter.
Eine wunderbare Adresse, um sich in Kathmandu wie zu Hause zu fühlen. Sehr schöne Räume und exzellenter Service! Im Hof scheint morgens die Sonne zum Frühstück. Alle Möglichkeiten für Transport und shopping sind gleich nebenan, doch ist es weitaus ruhiger und entspannter als im stressigen, überfüllten und lauten Zentrum von Thamel. 1 plus!

Dangerous water from a tub, different pictures, moldy room, unhelpful stuff who focus on money without fundamentals sarvice.
Before noticing the water, I washed my long hair in a bath. The water was dirty and strong chemicala as many guest's reviews. my Hair badly damaged, and not only that, enen my fingers skin peeled. Look at my photo I posted. I complaind to the owner, and packed my baggage, then I stayed other hotel. Even though the room was not able to accommodate a guest, the owner aggressively insisted to charge me full amount while telling me that he had my credit card information through booking system. And I was very scared if he use my card info for something by anger. My booking was for 5 days, and I stayed Mi casa about 1hour only due to the problem. Then the owner charged me 100US$.
It was not agreement, but Threat.
I hope this review will help travelers.

No safety water
The worst experience in NEPAL. The water from a tab was dark, and taste chemical. Before noticing it, I washed my hair.. My long hair got damaged badly and even my fingers got skin trouble. I asked fix it, and stayed another hotel. Because they had my credit card info and insisted No refund even they could not provide safety water supply. I waited they fixing it, but it never happened. Staffs just brought same dirty water from other room. On the day3, I strongly complained to the owner and tried to negotiate canceling a room because I didn't stay there at all due to the water problem. And he kicked me out while charging 100$. I couldn't believe them since they didn't have basic survice, how they accept guests?? I moved ZEN hostel 2$ per night was much better than Mi casa. I'll update the water picture later.

Bad service.
We were billed twice (on credit card) for a three-night stay in late October 2019. When we raised this with management over email, we were ignored. Bad form. There are plenty of hotels in Kathmandu. I recommend staying somewhere apart from MiCasa.

we are very sorry to hear that here in review ,we did not get any email regarding twice charged or billed, could you please mail us again and send on our email info@micasanepal.com . I am sure we didnot do this , if it happen accidentally we are more then happy to solve and return . while we charge from card we need to verify with pin code so its almost impossible to charged twice.Please kindly send charged evidence on micasa mail ,we are disparately waiting your email.

Has gone down a lot in facilities and service !
We had stayed in Mi Casa couple of years back when we had liked it a lot. Fast Forward to Oct 2019 when we recently went back . It was a abysmal experience. Initial couple of days we attributed it to the festival season and lack of all staff. But the we saw that 1. the facilities upkeep was very bad and nothing had been maintained or upgraded 2. Wifi did not work in the rooms 3. Hot water did not work most times 4. Shower had barely any pressure 5. nails protruding from furniture. 6. old and not good towels 7. no house keeping for first couple of days till we reminded them 7. Breakfast was ok but mostly many things were unavailable 8. There was barely any staff even to help with the bags as there is no elevator. 9. water cooler use to be out of water many times 10. house phone and TV in the rooms were disconnected and not working. .... I can go on and on but was shocking to see how much the upkeep and service had gone down since we stayed last. we have given this feedback to the owner and sincerely hope they take it very seriously as there are so many good options in Thamel, Kathmandu now at the same or lesser price.
